I heard Thomas F Wilson's testimony personally. Great guy!

Oh, I also wanted to confirm that Stephen Baldwin is indeed a Christian. God bless him!

So apparently an actor can do pretty much whatever he wants on film and it doesn't matter becasue he doesn't mean it.

I think it's Stephen and William, but I'm really not sure, to be honest.

 The "actor" doesn't "do". The "actor" plays a part of a character who "does". You're confusing something a character does with something the actor does. It's not sinful, wrong, immoral, etc, for a Christian to play the part of a bad person on stage. In high school, I played the part of Shylock. Should I repent? Was Mr T wrong for being in Rocky III? Was Thomas F Wilson wrong for playing Biff in Back to the Future? I think we're getting off topic here.

From what I can see John, an actor can play a person who curses every other word and it's not them doing it. Or an actress plays a person who is walking around naked and it isn't her doing it(even though shes the one naked).
So as long as they are only playing a part they can do pretty much anything.
    And it's an excuse.

You didn't answer my question. Should I repent for playing Shylock in high school?
Irrelevant to the topic, since this is about Christian actors. There are no Christians in Hell.

I don't think there is anything wrong with playing the "bad guy", as long as playing that part doesn't require you to commit any sins during the performance.

Okay, I didn't create this topic to argue the issue, only to list Christian actors. Let's get back to the topic:

Stephen Collins is a Christian (Star Trek:The Motion Picture, 7th Heaven).

Collins' co-star Catherine Hicks, who was also in a Star Trek film (Star Trek 4) is a Christian.

Elijah Wood (Lord of the Rings trilogy) is a Christian.

Supermodel Kathy Ireland is a Christian.

There is a "missionary" group that I found years ago that see Hollywood as their mission field. I think that is great!! I don't think this is the same ministry, but here is another ministry called "Hollywood Prayer Network"

  15. Lisa Whelchel is a Christian, and so is her "Facts of Life" co-star, Kim Fields (who played Tootie). [IMG]

I had heard that Stephen Collins was some sort of Buddhist or New Ager.

I believe he was dabbling is such things in his younger days (and after his role in "tales of the gold monkey", who could blame him???), but he's definitely returned to his christian roots in his later years.

Henry Fonda was an evangelical Christian. Jane Fonda, his daughter, became a Christian years after after his death.

James Dean was a Quaker. Though lapsed in practice, he maintained his Christian beliefs to his close friends up to his untimely death.

Orson Wells was, though nominally, a Christian. He kept his religious beliefs very private, and was uncomfortable answering questions about his personal religious beliefs, often dodging the question with humor. When asked about his prayer life, he replied "I don't want to bore God."

Jane Fonda supposedly became a Christian a few years ago but I've posted before a link to where her agent refuses to comment on Ms. Fonda's beliefs but will gladly comment on the millions she's donated for abortion rights in the last few years.
