I don't believe that is true. Japan turned from a country that hated America to an ally. The same is true with West Germany and Italy. Fortunately the US did many thing right when it came to Europe and Japan. We really messed up with China.

They, the Arab countries, did not hate us at the end of WW II. I believe many forget that. Most of them held the US in very high regard at that time.

Of course. For instance, Saddam was very foolish in his decisions.

Now, please answer my question. Did the US make mistakes that help bring about the problems we face today?

Is anything ever completely one sided?

No, but you sure wouldn't know it from your "Blame America first" editorials.

What did countries in the Middle East that hate the U.S. do wrong?

What is their blame in the current situation?

Who said blame America first. I am simply saying that the US made serious mistakes.

Do you believe the US made no mistakes?

Are you really afraid to admit the US made mistakes and must recognize that those mistakes help create the hatred felt toward us?

I gave you an example. Go back and read it.

Seeing as how you have yet to answer a number of my questions I will defer answering more from you until you respectfully respond.

Getting late here and I'm heading out to supper. Bye for the weekend.

I believe if you'll re-look at my posts, I have already answered your question (albeit, perhaps in too subtle a fashion).

But by the same token, one has to admit that those countries also made mistakes that help bring about the problems we face today.

I am - based on what you post.

"For instance, Saddam was very foolish in his decisions."

That's it? That's the best example that you can come up with?
