But He had to have men to fight the evildoers. You should thank God you don't hafta speak German now, & can have a Bible on your coffee table, rather than. Mein Kampf.

Jesus didn't just give them permission; he TOLD them to have some swords. Even though he knew they had 2 swords, He mentioned it for emphasis & put it in Scripture for that reason.

The highwaymen of that time often killed their vics to eliminate witnesses, and such brigands wouldn't've attacked the apostles over thei faith, but to rom and likely kill them. While there's no record of such an attack, again Jesus placed His order into Scripture for a reason. And I believe that he was saying in effect that it's all right to defend family, friend, or self against evildoers.

I guess you are calling God a liar. Not surprising you have already devised your own doctrine and are trying to establish it as Christian.
    2John 1:
    Beware of Deceivers
…9Anyone who runs ahead without remaining in the teaching of Christ does not have God. Whoever remains in His teaching has both the Father and the Son. 10If anyone comes to you but does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your home or even greet him. 11Whoever greets such a person shares in his evil deeds.…

Consider this then a final GOODBYE to you.

I see, so SOME violence is okay - as long as it is fulfilling scripture, did I get that right? But, but, you said it's always NO VIOLENCE, that Jesus was against violence at all times and for whatever reason. Nothing like a glaring contradiction on your part is all I can say.

You are making up your own commands, which conflict with scripture.

If you are a Christian, your kingdom is not of this world. And if you do not remain neutral, you cannot reach those who you try to kill instead.

Who said "love your enemies" Jesus? Or someone else?

If you believe scripture, Christians go to be with Christ at death which is far better. So you cheat them and yourself by killing to preserving their life. If you preserve the life of the wicked, they have only worse sin to pay for in eternity than had they simply died without your intervention. = Non resistance of evil is the only sane choice.

More nonsense. No scripture. Christians, acting under cover of government authority can and do use deadly force to protect themselves and others.

You might have been in a group who did not understand Jesus' commands about non violence.

Yet another deflection. We, acting as individuals, are commanded to "love our enemies, but acting under cover of government authority we can and do use deadly force to protect ourselves and others.

Your are attempting to nullify one scripture by distorting another. It all fits together.

Here we have yet another attempt at nullification. Since some governments act in ungodly ways, and all governments sometimes act in ungodly ways, you can pick and choose which scriptures apply to you. Twaddle

Shouldn't your government be in heaven, and not in Satan's domain?

Yet another attempt to nullify scripture. God instituted government on earth and it does not carry the sword for nothing.

Try actually addressing scripture, rather than attempting to say it is wrong.
