Yeah that's right. The battle for centuries (even up to today) with heretics who insisted that Christ is merely a creature while Christianity always asserted He was God (the Creator) is not theological in nature????

    Get real.

    Pathetic

Why should I argue with someone who misunderstands footnotes ?!?!??!? I am being real and your being unreasonable.

Eliyahu never misses a chance to pounce on a modern version and even he doesn't agree with you !!!!!

An attack on the Deity of Christ would be done in a textual alteration that "demoted" Him , not a footnote about the use of a certain Greek word.

---> And the footnote called Christ a creature.

Eliyahu never misses a chance to pounce on a modern version and even he doesn't agree with you !!!!!

--> Would he call Christ a creature?

--> But this particular version of the ASV contains an attack on His deity.

I think it's called making mountains out of mole hills.

--> I noticed you like certain others refused to answer this question:

Would you ever refer to Christ as a "creature"?

    Hidin, duckin and dodgin

This whole thread is silly. The footnote is a comment solely on the meaning of the word, not on the deity of Christ.

    Straining at gnats.

By the way here is the whole definition from Strong's on the word itself:

    προσκυνέω
    proskuneō
    pros-koo-neh'-o
From G4314 and probably a derivative of G2965 (meaning to kiss, like a dog licking his master’s hand); to fawn or crouch to, that is, (literally or figuratively) prostrate oneself in homage (do reverence to, adore): - worship.

So Dr. Strong is comparing Christ to a dog.

    My goodness.
