Cobert shows how smart O'Reilly really is at Fox

It's not enlightening, really. I think most people know that Bill O'Reilly is not the most woman friendly right wing commentator. Also, I guess I missed the memo that stated there were dozens of Bill O'Reilly fans on BB. I suspect the collective reaction of conservatives on BB would be a shrug of the shoulders and the clicking of the mouse button to another thread.

Enlightening only that the disingenuous lying OP played Colbert's game and took video out of context, didn't credit the fact that O'Reilly was playing devil's advocate to a comment by Michelle Bachmann, and ignored the established fact that Bachmann's original statement was far more detailed than a 12-second soundbite, giving a true analysis of the difficulties Hillary Clinton, the failed U.S. Sec/State, will face if she decides to run in 2016.

Christian Post: Michele Bachmann Under Fire For Saying America is Not Ready For Female President, Obama Got Elected Because of White Guilthttp://www.christianpost.com/news/m...ma-got-elected-because-of-white-guilt-114995/http://www.christianpost.com/news/m...ma-got-elected-because-of-white-guilt-114995/

With less than a year left in her fourth and last term in Congress, the woman described as the "founding mother" of the Tea Party suggested to syndicated columnist Cal Thomas in an interview last week that if Hillary Clinton runs for the White House in 2016, her sex will play a huge role in her electability.

A lot of people, says Bachmann, "aren't ready" for a female president.

"I think there was a cachet about having an African-American president because of [white] guilt [presumably over slavery]," she told Thomas. "People don't hold guilt for a woman…I don't think there is a pent-up desire" for a woman president.

She also explained that if a male GOP presidential nominee were to face Clinton in a presidential race in 2016 he must do two things.

"Remind people (Clinton) is seeking to become commander in chief (and) how she has operated in the past with these types of responsibilities. She was in charge during the Benghazi debacle. If a person reads the Senate Intelligence (Committee) report and the House Foreign Affairs (Committee) report released (last) week, it is damning for Hillary Clinton," she said.

Bachmann is saying that Clinton won’t have it as easy as Obama, who "allegedly" -- tongue in cheek, folks -- won both presidential elections due to being black. Bachman makes it clear she believes that, and so do I. How else does a do-nothing lawyer who never once represented a client or filed anything remotely resembling a court document, whose sole resumé is the entry "community communist" -- oops, sorry, "activist" -- (translation: professional stuff-stirrer) get elected president?

But unlike Obama's ease-in, voters won’t feel guilty enough to vote a woman into office because women were never slaves. What was that sound? Oh, I believe it was every feminist’s jaw hitting the floor. Yeah, ladies -- you were never slaves. Sorry to inform you. Get over it.

Now, back to the OP: It's dishonest, deliberately manipulative, and totally destroys the argument this same OP has on another thread that we're "actually learning more from Colbert than the regular news." It is to laugh.

At least it would be if this clown starting this thread wasn't such a total shill for the socialist/communist agenda. As, I suspect, is Colbert.

Like right here on the BB political forum. We have more comedians doing stand up routines (okay sit down routines) here in one day than Colbert and Stewart have on their shows all year.

It's all the democrat's fault! No it's all the republican's fault! Did not! Did so! Yer a _____! Oh yeah well yer a ____ ____!

I never realized just how comical (in a sick sad sort of way) it could be listening to people that have allowed themselves to be divided and conquered by the corporate and political class so easily.

Defending the tribe takes precedence over defending principle everyday here by both political tribes. It's funny because neither tribe serves or defends the people and their rights but the members will defend the tribe non the less. It's also sad for the same reason.

Shakespeare couldn't write a tragic comedy that even comes close to our present day "reality".

You are so correct. I have many good laughs at responses to threads here ... both to mine and to others by some folk. You know laughter is good for your health.

It is well documented in public and here on the Baptist Board that O'Reilly is a liberal Catholic who thinks that he is a conservative. He defies his own church by insisting that gays have a right to marry. When he wrote his book on killing time, he said that the Scripture did not tell why and how Jesus was put to death--setting himself up above Scripture. O'Reilly has expressed disapproval of Evangelicals and Fundamentalists on their style of evangelization of the lost.

So he is a hero to the left and to the East Coast, but most of us have stopped watching him long, long ago.

To my liberal friends I ask, are you still watching Fox News?

By the way, O'Reilly admits that he is commentary, not news.
