.....
"I'm concerned at the number of programs that are being presented, the bills associated with these programs and the additional government that will be needed to execute them,"...

.....But, he said, "one of the cautions that has to be given to the president -- and I've talked to some of his people about this -- is that you can't have so many things on the table that you can't absorb it all."
"And we can't pay for it all,".....

So what was his support based on ?

What else could it be? You vote for a guy and then 6 months later you say you can't support him ?

And they make fun of Palin calling HER a quitter ?

I don't recall Colin saying he can't support him he said he had concerns about spending and the size of government.

Perhaps he's just cautioning Obama about doing too much too soon. This doesn't mean he disagrees with all he's doing or regrets voting for him, he just said he may be doing too much too soon.

Powell did not say he does not support Obama, but did caution him.

And they make fun of Palin calling HER a quitter ?

She has a hisory of quitting:

5 colleges in 5 years
Quit as mayor
Quit as an oil commission member
Quit as Lieut. Gov.
Quit as governor

Naming Palin to the GOP ticket -- a top-down choice by McCain -- was the most reckless decision any national politician has made in the longest time, and while it certainly says something about McCain, it says even more about his party. It has lost its mind.

What can you say about a public official who ridicules those who would take the "quitter's way out" -- as she faces reporters to announce that she's quitting? A governor who claims that "the worthless, easy path" would be to serve out the remaining 18 months of her term? An ambitious politician who says that "life is too short" to worry about, you know, boring things such as responsibility or duty?

You can say that all of us who ever took Sarah Palin seriously -- or pretended to take her seriously -- should be deeply ashamed. And you can say that John McCain should publicly apologize for putting the nation he loves at risk by choosing Palin as his running mate. Imagining Palin within a heartbeat of the presidency should be enough to make even die-hard Republicans shudder.

Why? He made a statement, was it low of him? I simply asked a question.

You veiled accusations of racism are funny to me considering you are the only one that I can recall posting racist terms on this board...

Do the words "banana republic" ring a bell?

Yep, and do you know the meaning of the term? I guess not.

banana republic

any of the small countries in the tropics, esp. in the Western Hemisphere, whose economies are largely dependent on fruit exports, tourism, and foreign investors.
Origin:
1930–35

From Dictionary.com ... as you see it is not referring to a person or persons, but to various countries.

Do you remember the context of the original statement?

You veiled accusations of racism are funny to me considering you are the only one that I can recall posting racist terms on this board...

I was curious. You say veiled ... so was his specific remark calling Powell a racist proper?

People's reasons for not supporting Obama are well documented on this board, CTB. If you won't bother to read them,or if they are above your head, then I understand your accusation.

Back to Powell, I wonder if he's going to be the only Obama supporter to question the zero, with the obvious. It certainly isn't happening here.

I have a feeling that there will be many more that will be against his policies, even those of this board that currently support him because of his race like Crabby.

It was a question, not a statement of fact, nor an accusation. Go back and see the question mark.

Also, I am not responsible for how you misinterpret a question or a comment.

If the question was out of line, was his directly calling Powell a racist out of line?

How 'bout answering the question?

See post # 11 your pathetic little question is not impressive. It seems libbies can only use tactics like fabricating racism when they have nothing else. such poor behavior does nothing for real racism and makes a mockery of it.
