Calvin Coolidge one of the most underrated presidents in US history. The epitome of "get government out of the way and let the people prosper."

[sorry, I can't edit that smiley out...]

The story is told that the famous wit, Dorothy Parker, was once seated by President Calvin Coolidge at a dinner party. Miss Parker said to the president that she had bet a friend that during the course of the meal she could make him say more than five words.

    “You lose,” the president said.

Yes! One of my favorite stories about him. Although I thought the bet was she could make him say more than three words.

Yeah, that story about ol Silent Cal is one of my favorites, too.

The rest of that short article is quite a bit more somber, and has some great quotes.
