Wow. Better than Lynch? Better than Peterson? Better than Irons? I appreciate the enthusiasm you have for your Hogs, but I dunno about MacFadden being better than any of the ones I mentioned.

Arkansas could use a good year. I hope you all do rebound. I think the best y'all can hope for is probably third in the West. Keep underestimating my Vols, by the way. That's happened before, with the Vols coming out with good results.

The Vols and Hogs always have some interesting games. This year's will probably be no exception.

Glad to hear y'all got a sellout for USC. I hear your expanded stadium has only had three since it reopened (UT in '01, the first game there; Texas, and this year's USC game). That surprised me.

When he is 100% - absolutely. Barring injury I expect McFadden to have a great chance at the Heisman trophy in 2007.

It's hard to have sell outs in Fayetteville with consecutive losing seasons. Little Rock games are in a smaller, more compact stadium with a much more lively crowd. The games in War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock really rock!

It keeps looking more and more like McFadden will play against Southern Cal on Saturday night - www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZxcsZE0SIY.

We'll see but I don't think those guys are going to outrun SC.

Why not? Do you think that Arkansas' football recruits are all slow? Do you think that Arkansas has no backs or receivers that can match or exceed the speed of any Southern Cal defender? Evidently, you have not watched Felix Jones, Darren McFadden, Cedric Washington, et al, play.

Ken you are getting as bad as the Piston fans during the NBA season!

Those razorback colored glasses give a nice view, huh? :) I am sure it won't be long before you and Joseph are in here whining about how bad the season is going and how long it will be before Butch Davis is the new coach. :)

I won't whine over at least an 8-4 season.

Of course, with a win over Southern Cal I would expect at least a 9-3 season.

I learned from some of the best.

No. I apparently know that USC is faster than you think.
No. I am saying that SC has as much team speed as anyone in the country.
Does that mean that they are automatically faster than everyone USC will play on defense?

I hope Ark wins. Sheridan has them as an 8 point underdog I think which isn't that bad.

You just seem to be badly underestimating the teams speed of USC. They surprised me by matching Texas last year and no one is any faster than the Longhorns.

I know that Southern Cal has team speed. Everyone who knows anything about NCAA football knows that Southern Cal has team speed(even without Reggie Bush).

So, with that as a given, it will be Arkansas' team speed that the audience will marvel at on Saturday night.

It will be interesting to see how Southern Cal's brand new inexperienced backfield in its very first game and that in a very, very, very loud environment where the ability to audible will be basically gone.

    Yep. :D

Having frequented both Razorback and Trojan message boards this week I have noticed that today the talking has subsided and everyone is being nicer to each other. I guess the talk has played out and there's nothing left but for both teams to hit the field Saturday night and battle it out.

My appetizers are the Cowboys' final exhibition game tonight and my local high school's first game tomorrow night.

For the record, I do not know who Butch Davis is, and don't think the season will be all that bad this year.

We will wait and see if the Razorback football team, however, causes Ken to change his political "convictions" yet again in a few weeks.

McFaddeb will probably not even play this weekend if the coaches have a brain in their heads. He still needs more time to heal.

McFadden may not start but I expect we will see him on the field. He's not ready to handle 20 carries but he will probably get about 5-8 rushes plus being in pass patterns out of the backfield. Felix Jones will handle most of the rest of the rushing game.

That's the way I see it. Further I see:

    Hogs - 27
    Southern Cal - 21

If they do well enough I may have to dust off my "Wesley Clark for President" chant.

Man, I thought the Hogs would put up a better fight. I still don't think USC will do that great this year but we shall see.

Now lets see if my Wildcats tonight put up a better fight against Louisville. I should be back home from church by the 2nd Qtr.

    Go Wildcats!

Glad to see Ken remains so strong in his predictions regarding college football :)

So how long before the Arkansas whining starts?

Man, I can see that UK still does not know how to play defense. They can't tackle at all or stop even the 4th string running back.

I think their offense has some potential and I still see them perhaps winning 6 or 7 games and earning a bowl.

And as much as I hate UL, it was truly a shame to see Bush go down for the entire season...

No whining on my part. Southern Cal proved to be better in their first game with a new backfield than I thought they would be.

    Congratulations to the Trojans.
