Do you have an ID# yet? I tried under the username and password and it would let me in.

Yes, ID # is 28812. It still wasn't working earlier, but I just tested it again and now it is.

I joined. I know less about college than pro, so this ought to be humbling.

Ack. This is tough. I cannot pick UT games impartially. However, I'm also on a time crunch and the CFB games are played all week long pretty much. I'm a maybe at this point.

I can understand your bias toward the University of Texas - but why name yourself TomVols instead of TomHorns?

Okay, I was the worst picker this first week  . Now at least we have a 'previous week' to go on. What happened this past week should, for one thing, stretch the spread Oklahoma will have over Miami for this week.

Not into this, at all, but just wonder how many BBers picked Appalchian State over Michigan? Heh! Heh!

I suggest that most any that now say they did should try a 'truth' meter, for the most part!

Oh yeah, two more things: Is Apppalachian State the best college football team in the state of NC?

Second, could Appalachian State potentially be another Boise State?

None of us picked Appalachian State because these picks are against the line and the line for this game was off, meaning no line, so it was a straight pick. Did you pick Appalachian State?

No. They are in the FCS (old I-AA division).

When I asked about Appalachian State potentially being another Boise State, I was referring to the possibility of moving up into Division 1-A (or whatever they have named it now, attempting to give a bit more legitimacy to the BCS system). Boise State has only been Division 1-A for ten years. Before that, they too were 1-AA.

Perhaps. They've shown they can hang with the big boys, for certain!

No, I never pick anyone. (Being a KY fan for so long will do that to you!) :tear: Secondly, I do not follow it that closely, except for seeing what UK is not doing!

I really have no idea how many times over the last 45 or so years, in football (mind you, not 'roundball' or cheerleading), I have seen KY snatch defeat from the jaws of victory!

Done it some in roundball, just seemingly not as often!

Well, that is, except to the 'fair weather' fans that think KY should never, ever lose a single game in basketball. Their favorite coach would be Adolph B. Pitino, at least until he got beat two consecutive times by a team coached by either Mike Knight or Dean Wooden!
