It is so clean it SPARKLES!

Online cleaning of imaginary refrigerators. Now THIS I like! It feels as if I didn't even have to move and I wasn't even tired out, so I scrubbed and waxed the floors to a shine too. BH saw her reflection, thought it was another squirrel, and went ape!

I set a new record today for how many shirts I changed out of. Three. And the one I have on now smells of horses, but now I'm just waiting to take a shower and then change into jammies! Went out and spent some time with the critters, and ended up brushing the mane and tail of Snow. Tried the other big one and she loves being brushed, but only put up with having her tail pulled for a few minutes.

Hope everyone has a good night.

Be sure to take a real shower and not just an imaginary or virtual one. That only works for cleaning the fridge...

    Morning all:

Sue, know how you feel about the long posts disappearing.

mk..we are having our first ever tax free weekend here in Tennessee, and these people are nuts. They were in line at 4 AM for a store that didnt' open until 9 AM.

Gwen, I feel for your son. Vivian yells at me every time I go out and do the lawn, especially when she's not home. Guess she thinks I'll go into an attack and not be able to get to my inhalers and nebulizer in time. Oh, well. She'll just have to learn to live with the fear.:saint:

It's supposed to be cooler here today. We had a very strong line of thunderstorms that moved through here yesterday, and it did cool down a bit.

Today, Vivian and I are going to start looking through neighborhoods in Murfreesboro to see if there are any we would want to try and buy a home in should the Lord open the doors for us to move back up that way in March or April of next year. It looks like one of the chicken houses has possibly been approved, though we've not confirmed that. I hope not. If they're going to build them, I hope it's AFTER we've moved.

Well, y'all have a great day!

    Bro. T

    Morning all!

I took some snaps of my new bag. Clicking the smaller pix should take you to a larger one.

"He that posteth at great length shall experience expungence forthwith in favour of brevity..." The unwritten rule, 5:5

We had a sort of tornado come our way and experienced a huge tree across the roof of our village house. The house was partly saved by an old telly tower I kept procrastinating about removing. It ended up catching the tree, then ending up over the hydro wires. $800.00 later, the tree was removed...insurance does not cover an Act of God. I will post a photo as soon as Mary prints it out. At any rate, we have been rather busy between power outage for a full day and other clean up operations.

This may not get posted..In case of such happening, just imagine what happened....

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Good Morning Everyone!

 Jim, it's to scarey to imagine. Remember I live in tornado alley, reality is bad enough without adding my active imagination to it. Sounds as if you've had a day of stress and problems. Not nice. Do you mean your insurance won't cover any of the damage or just not the tree removal? Haven't heard of acts of God not being covered. Makes me wonder....

Party is still going strong this morning. Breakfast is cooked. There is sausage, breakfast chops, puff pancake with apples and regular pancakes. It's fast disappearing so you'd better hurry if you want to share!

MC, your purse is too cool! Did you find your lining already quilted or did you do that yourself? All I have to suggest adding is velcro to close it with. STRONG, LOUD velcro so you can hear the kids when the get into it. :D ;)

Not sure what today will hold but I'm going to get at it!

Wow! That is some tree, Jim! Glad no one was hurt. We have the "act of God" clause in our state too, but it doesn't consider a tree blowing on your house an 'act of God' and the insurance will pay for it.

Nice purse, Bitsy! I used to make Bible covers out of that quilted material and add lace all around the edges.

We are back from fishing. We had a nice quiet time, but only caught 4 blue gill and not one of them was over 4 inches long so they all got thrown back.

I sat in my lounge chair with my fishing pole propped against my leg and read my book(in the shade). It's the ONLY way to fish!

Oh my goodness, Jim! That tree is huge! We had really bad storms here last night. A severe thunderstorm popped up over Stone Mountain Park and several trees fell--one on a car and a couple of RV's were damaged. The campers had to run for shelter in a pavillion. They shut down the park until further notice.

I hear thunder, so we are getting ready for Round 2.

I'm glad you enjoyed your fishing trip, Sue! Sounds like fun. My boys like to fish, so we go occasionally.

Gotta go make dinner---sub sandwiches and chips. See ya'll later!

Now the tree is gone, we can see some of the damage. We need tp replace all the fascia and soffit, and one steel panel and vent on the roof. If the tree had landed fully on the roof, we would have been replacing the entire roof.

Thank God for procrastination or old age...I had planned to remove the telly tower three years ago and kept putting it off because of its height...it scared me.

Long story, but I do have insurance coverage for actual damage to house, but not for the tree falling..weird insurance...I personally think they are crooks.

We will repair it from our own pocket...and wonder why we bother with insurance at all...to be honest!

    Cheers,

    Jim

PS...they will replace a telly if it is struck by lightning!!! Go figure.

I'm with you Jim, insurance companies are all crooks!

I think ours will cover the removal of a downed tree up to a certain amount. Then again, I live in an area where the wind can blow and a tree will fall. ;) Tree removal may be a part of our insurance because it happens so often. I'm sure I pay plenty in premiums for it.

There is actual color on my bathroom walls. Now I'm tired and I'm headed to my well deserved rest.

    Night, night!

    Good morning all,

I slept in so I hope someone else brings in some goodies for breakfast!

I did manage to start the coffee machine and put water on to boil for tea.

    Have a blessed Lord's day!

Well, I got square bagel bread and am having that with cream cheese for breakfast. I suppose I could be nice and share. I don't know that I've had anything this yummy in a long time! I'm finishing off the last bite of my slice right now.
My plan for lunch? Same thing, except I'll put fresh picked blackberries on top of the cream cheese.
Dinner? We'll see. I'm not that big on bread, so I'm all excited for me for liking this so much.
I suppose I'll have to pick enough berries today for the whole CH. You're lucky I like ya, or I'd eat every single one myself!

    Hello all!

Just stopped in for a couple of minutes.

Back to being real busy with the secular job. I'm following a pavement marking truck about - as they put the stripes on the road.

Beginning to eat from the garden. Have had several servings of zucchini! Eating the first of the tomatoes. And Jan canned 11 quarts of string beans.

The corn is looking real good - not ready yet. The cucumbers are not doing very well. We have a few peppers on the pepper plants.

Jan's back porch is a bloom with several flowering plants. And the sunflowers are in full bloom.

    Have a cooler week - I hope!

Dan Todd - mostly absent - but still alive - but at least I'm not double posting!:tongue3:

    Good Morning Everyone!

I am almost finished with my crazy, ever expanding bathroom project! Ya'll pray I can get the last of the paint on the walls today WITHOUT discovering anything else that has to be replaced. Yesterday it was the toliet that got replaced.

I was NOT happy about that. I told T to leave that bit of wallpaper behind the tank alone, even if we could see it from the bathtub. But nooooo, he says, "it'll just take a second for me to snatch the tank off and then the job'll be done right." Famous last words! First we discover the shut off valve for the water is broken. Then we discover that the tank hasn't been off the base since the dark ages and one twist destroyed the seals around the bolts. $200 later we have new plumbing, a toliet that does not leak and no wallpaper behind it.

My "I'm just going to snatch down the wallpaper and paint" project has pretty much turned into a complete redo of this bathroom. By the time I am completely finished, I'll have replaced everything except the bathtub, the vanity and the flooring. We estimate that we'll have about $600 dollars into it by the time we are finished. It won't be complete until we replace one more light fixture. That one has to wait till next month though. I've flat spent too much on it this month! (says she who doesn't get paid again until Aug. 30)

MadFP, did anyone tell you that the Coffee House isn't the quietest place around? :D

Ya'll have a good day, I've got to get to painting!
