MMMMmmmm! Tea sounds good, Ann. I think I'll join you.

Been busy running around today. Cassie school was having midterms and she only had one to take, so after taking Jenna to school at 8, I had to turn around and take Cass at 9:30. Then somewhere along in there I realized that Chris was well enough to go in to school for an hour or so and make up some Social Studies tests, which should complete his grades for this nine weeks (that is a blessing!). I took him in at 11, picked Cass up at 11:30, went back for Chris and then went over to the church to help a lady pleat a dress. Chris, bless his heart, stretched out on a couch in our fireside room and promptly went to sleep. As soon as we were done it was time to pick up Jenna and head for home. Home didn't last long once I realized I hadn't been to the store yet and didn't have pizza makings. but now I'm home!

While we were pleating, I pleated up a little dress for my great neice, Kayleigh. I may not get it done in time for Easter, but it should make her a pretty church dress when I'm through. Of course I forgot buy floss when I was out, so I'll have to hit Hancock sometime tomorrow find the colors I need. It is so neat to have a baby to smock for again!

Now I need to get this house straightened up. [IMG] Hmmmm, tea first!

Good evening to all! One of the pre-k teachers where I sub a lot was out again today. I got called after 8 so I had to rush to work. Oh well, spring break has officially started now so all those things that have gotten put off will get started-tommorrow. I am really tired since I haven't been sleeping well lately. I am looking forward to a quiet weekend-no soccer games Saturday and church on Sunday morning. Wish I had time for tea, but I gotta go cook supper. Maybe some hot chocolate will be in order later. Have a great weekend!:godisgood:

    Good morning all,

It looks like we will be moving to a new facility soon as we are outgrowing this one, once again.

It is 26º here, under cloudy skies. I believe the high will be around 40º.

Where is Rob? I sure was hoping he would have breakfast fixed and brought in this morning.

I'm busy getting my corned beef and cabbage ready to go in the oven. I want to watch a couple of parades this morning too.

Isn't everyone Irish on March 17th?

    HAGD! [IMG]

    Good Morning Everybody,

I'm here Sue. I wanted to get my chores done so I could watch NCAA basketball this afternoon. Michigan State plays North Carolina tonight. GO STATE!!!!

I brought in Waffles and Scrambled Eggs, Bacon & Sausage, Hot Homemade Biscuits, Sausage Gravy, Grapefruit-Orange Medley, with Citrus Tea Punch and Cinnamon Mocha Coffee. Enjoy.

Well apparently our sleet turned into freezing rain because we woke up to a world covered in ice. We have some large branches down but nothing horrible and I was able to get out to go to physical therapy pretty easily today. Roads are still slick but should be better by this afternoon.

After PT, I went food shopping and now we're doing some cleaning. Later, Robby goes for swimming lessons and I'm not sure what else we'll be doing. I have my corned beef ready to cook later and I'm SO looking forward to it!!

    Have a wonderful day everyone!!

NO! Never have been, and never will be.

    Long live Britannica.

Ann, I was wondering about you folks in Long Island, for we heard on the radio that some parts were badly affected. We only had about 4" snow and ice on top. Roads are clean but the cars are buried. Soon the sun will be out and some of this ice will melt. :applause:

Bro. Jim, so you don't think everybody is Irish on St. Patrick's Day? You should tell that to the NYC Police and Fire Department marchers, for they put on a green hat, a green tie or jacket and get off work for marching in the parade on 5th Avenue. And I am not even mentioning all the politicians!

Have a great weekend all!

Everything okay out there in Long Island Ann?

Barnabas: Seems like we always have our final storm on St.Patrick's Day, and then Spring starts.

I think I might've "bitten off more than I can chew." We have three couples coming over for dinner tonight and all three have Irish backgrounds.

    The menu will be:
Corned Beef & Swiss Appetizers, Cheesy Beer Soup, Cheddar Cheese Fondue, Bacon-Cheddar & Chive Scones, Irish Soda Bread, Corned Beef Brisket with Cabbage, Irish Beef Stew, Bacon & Cheddar Mashed Potatoes, and Irish Coffee Pie & Irish Cream Cheesecake for dessert.

Even though I'm German, the "Luck 'o the Irish" better be with me today. :praying:

    Good Morning Everyone!

LOL, Jim! You sure couldn't tell that everyone isn't Irish at the church pre-school yesterday. Dozens of little kids all dressed in green and the skylights in the gym made the green glow. I was a little frightened, myself but might have been from the idea that there were dozens of children, possibly not potty trained running around at my feet. ;)

I too waited until the chores were done to come in. I have a clean house all the way down to mopped and/or vacuumed floors! And what a reward did I find waiting for me: a lovely big breakfast. Thanks Rob, and umm, tell me how you made the coffee?

Since all the indoor work is done except for some of the laundry I have a choice between working outside or sewing. There is a bunch of both that needs doing and both are equally high on the priority list and I enjoy doing both. Hard to choose.

T is home from karate, see ya'll later!

Well, I just spoke to my dad in Huntington and he had been without power for 8 hours. Apparently a LOT of people were without power! I'm shocked we never lost ours - not even a glitch because we loose ours so easily!! But the roads are melting and the sun is out - Lauren (17) is out taking pictures of the beauty out there - I'll maybe try to post pics later if I find any.

BTW - I posted a link to me speaking at church from a few weeks ago in one of the other rooms. We were dedicating a little girl who was adopted by a friend of mine and our pastor asked me to give MY testimony of my adoption. If anyone wants to hear it - and hear my voice (LOL), you can find it here http://annsni.blogspot.com/

My humble apologies Ann, I did listen to that testimony of yours. It was absolutely marvelous, and yes, it was interesting to hear your voice. I have also seen your galloping on the picture you posted, but I just don't have the time to address everything I see on the BB. BTW, your are quite a young lady. Blessings to you and to your dear family! :type:

LOL - Young!! LOL - Not many people call me young anymore - although I sometimes still feel like a young kid and not a 41 year old mom. ;) Thanks for listening!! I know so many have been touched by adoption and I know of a number of people who have struggled with their own adoption. I'm just so grateful to God for everyone in my life who gave all they could to give me a good life - my birth mom for NOT aborting me when she could have (abortion was legal in CA in 1965) and for my adoptive parents who, despite having a bad marriage, still chose to take me in. I can so closely identify with the idea of being adopted into God's family and seeing God as my Father because I had such a great adoption - and never once felt like I was not my parent's child.

I have to say it was scary to get up in front of everyone - my DH can do that easily but I struggle so - but a number of people were touched by the testimony so it just goes to show that God can use ANYONE to speak through. LOL!!

Thanks again for your kind words.
