TO THE COMMON GROUND COFFEE HOUSE #27

    FREE FOOD AND DRINKS...GOOD FELLOWSHIP!

I will try to be here to serve you; but if not, feel free to help yourself.

First one in every morning puts the coffee on, last one out at night turns the lights off...

We serve donuts, cinnamon toast (dry toast available upon request), crumpets, bagels, scones, croissants, brioche rolls, yogurt, salads, light lunches, popsicles, ice cream, homemade cookies and homemade pies, and homemade jams.

We also serve coffee (with caffeine and without), hot chocolate, hot tea, iced tea, fresh squeezed lemondade and orange juice, cappucino, Mountain Dew, DP, DDP, Coke, Pepsi, Diet Sierra Mist, milk, milk shakes and Kool-Aid.

As a special treat for the holidays, we have added Christmas doughnuts and homemade Eggnog to the menu!

If you don't see your drink or food of choice...just ask, we will do our best to stock it for you!

Our aim is to please...come and sit a spell, enjoy the fellowship and come back often! As Christians, we are ALL on common ground...

This is gonna sound trivial, but I'd appreciate it so much if you could say a prayer for me. I was supposed to get my wedding ring insured, and I really meant to. I didn't. The stone is gone, I think it is in my home, but after 4 hours of searching with a flashlight, there is no sign of it.

    Thanks,
    Julie

    No, not trivial at all.

Lord, please help Jul to find this missing stone to her wedding ring. Please give the peace of mind which is needed at this time. In Jesus name we praise you and thank you, Amen.

    God Bless

    Sheila

It is not trivial. Anyone have any ideas for looking?
    </font>
    • You likely did this, but looking at night, using a flashlight.</font>
    • A nylon over the end of the vacuum hose.</font>
    • Check under the cushions on the davenport and chairs.</font>
    • Remove and look in the sink traps.</font>
    • Look between the sheets, under your pillows, on the bedspread.</font>
    • Look around in your vehicle and outside of it, at night, with a flashlight.</font>
    • Pray a lot. I am praying for you.</font>

Dr. Bob! Chloe is so beautiful and she looks wide awake for just being two hours old! Thank you for sharing and CONGRATULATIONS again!

Good Morning Sheila! Are you up early or late? I certainly got up early this morning. I am anxious for my daughter and three grands to arrive from Wisconsin and couldn't sleep! I already have a daughter (from Indiana) asleep on the couch and three grandsons in sleeping bags. They arrived last night.

Tis the season to be jolly!

Surprise! My daughter just pulled in with the three grands so I'm off of here. Not sure when I'll get back on!

Oh Dr. Bob, she is beautiful. Hubby wants to know... Where's HER bowtie? LOL

Jul... I lost the diamond from a necklace many years ago. It had gotten caught in my sweater when I put it on. Check the clothes you were wearing too. Praying you find it and soon!

    Beautiful Baby, Dr. Bob!

Jul, Have you found your diamond?

When I lose something, I try to retrace all my steps. This will be difficult for you because you don't know when you lost it. If you knew when and where, you would find it. [IMG]

One time Ed lost something and I meant to ask where have you been and I asked where did you lose it? Well, you know what kind of answer I got to that question. [IMG]

Usually things are in the most unlikely place. Search for the unlikely place that it could be.

That must be so frustrating. If you think you lost it in your home, can you still not claim under your contents policy?
I really hope you find it tho.

    Blessings

Jul--if its anything like loosin' a eye contact--you usually get down on your hands and knees and start lookin'------and prayin'---"OHHHHH, Lord! OHHHH, Jesus! Help me find that contact! OOOOHHHH, have mercy and help me!!!!"

Usually you find it down there on your knees---just you and the Lord Jesus and that RayOVac flashlight!!!

Meanwhile, the flashlight will point out every shiney thing---touch and feel everything you point the flashlight at---in "Grid" fashion just like an airplane "Search and Rescue!"

    Your buddy,
    Blackbird

Cheryl had gotten our wet dry vac out for me to vacuum the dust of the ceiling fans. That thing sat there for almost 2 weeks. Meanwhile, I lost my keys for several weeks. When I finally got around to cleaning the fans, there were my keys under the vacuum. [IMG]

Oh Gib, that is TOO funny! LOL. I bet Cheryl gave you a hard time over that. I sure would have teased you something awful!

It's a wind chill of only 24° here at 11:00 a.m.! This has been a cold year for Georgia.

The flu is worst in Douglas County which is just miles from us and where the mall is. You know I won't be going anywhere near there for a while! I must be the only person really concerned about this! I guess, since my husband has asthma and C.O.P.D. I'm worried about him catching it!

    Everyone ready for Christmas? [IMG]

    Diane,

No, not at all. Christmas cakes are in the oven as I type. Need to go out to buy a couple of ingredients for the Christmas puds. I think I will put Christmas on hold til I catch up [IMG]

I'm ready. Looking forward to all the Christmas Carols, Christmas Lights, movies, family times.

We are having lovely weather, not like Christmas weather. It is good weather for the travelers.

Boy Howdy. Thanks to all the well-wishers. We are rejoicing.

Came across this graphic from Pete and found not EVERYONE is happy this Christmastime.
