Merry Christmas Eve, to All. Ed has gone on some mysterious trip this morning!

Probably something to get for Muffin, the dog  , but I heard him talking on the phone to see if something was ready and what time did they close. Should I do redial?

What do you mean slow loading, Diane? The BB would not even load yesterday morning on our computers. I was in the middle of typing a most "inspiring post" and wham, it and the BB were gone!

I was able to load but got the page errors too, Betty. Webmaster did quite a bit of cleaning, purging and archiving the last two days. End of the year house cleaning, as it were.

Jim had to order my present but it came in last week and has been under the tree tempting me ever since. I'm sure it's a charm for my bracelet but since it was a special order, cannot imagine what it might be!

We don't buy presents for our cat. We did for years but he prefers the one very old leather mouse. LOL

LOL. Dr. Bob! I had a pink dining room with cherry furniture in Connecticut. It was opposite the living room and both rooms had bay windows. I put up a white tree in the dining room bay windows with pink and lavendar glass balls, white lights and pastel bows. Hubby said it looked like a Christmas tree in a French Bordello. LOL I don't have a photo of it but it was very pretty.

The other window had the green tree with burgundy and golds. Quite striking if I do say so myself.

So, Betty... have you hit redial yet??? :D That's really funny!!

I admire all of you for your self-control in waiting to open your Christmas surprises!! Especially when they are right out in plain sight for you to see every day!! [IMG]

I have everything done, I think! Presents wrapped, pie and cheeseball made...now just relaxing and "basking" in the joy of the season!! I love Christmas and especially enjoy the time when all the preparations are ready and I can just reflect on why we are celebrating!

HI C.J., how's that awful cold? Sure hope you're all better!

I've got a pork roast cooking and the house smell so very good! We'll make the pies this afternoon but nothing left to do here. Nick and Jon are 'playing together' even tho one is almost 27 and one is almost 9. Jim is playing his piano (cheap little replacement since he sold his 'real' one to help us with finances :( ) and our presents are either all wrapped or will be delivered by Santa sometime after midnight!

It's still cold here today! It was to be close to 60° but is remaining near freezing! Maybe I'll get a few flurries after all! We drove around last night to view Christmas decorations. Only saw one or two prettier than our own but one house (mansion) had moving 'figures' in every window. She had children decorating the tree, children playing instruments and little elves in her attic with candles and toys! Amazing! The house had to be 6 times or more bigger than ours.

I saw a bordello once on Gunsmoke I think. Right. That's it. Gunsmoke.

42F and climbing, sky's a little overcast and gray and, of course, windy. Sure is different here than the midwest. Winds hit Wisconsin where we pastored and we knew it was cold and stormy. Then clear quiet meant high pressure and the bottom drop. -55 one Sunday in Chetek.

Here in the lee of Wyoming's mountains, it's just the opposite. Windy = warm!

Enjoy the day. Santa Bob is chillin' [IMG]

Well 'Santa Bob', Gib was bragging about how warm it's to be on Christmas but they've changed our forecast! It's still in the 30's at almost 2 p.m. and the low is to be in the 20's. I think Santa prefers it cold! [IMG]

I was never taught St. Nick - and never taught my children St. Nick. Have a nephew whose dad saw fit to teach his kids St. Nick - and they had a real problem dealing with reality - when reality finally hit!

C.J., they're just beautiful! I have a number of bears and reindeer friends all around but many, many Santa's! I even have a couple that stay out all year. I never put away my nutcrackers. They're my collection and I can't afford to buy more. Some are 20 years old.

My Nicholas is so excited about tonight. He's aleady planning his bedtime so Santa won't have to wait for him to fall asleep. Every hour we check NORAD. Our birthday comes right after Christmas but we don't make a real deal out of it... just a present or so for Nick and a character cake. Have NO idea what he'll want this year. He's had the Iron Giant, Baseball Glove and balls, Buzz Lightyear, a complete TRAIN out of cake, a CareBear... just can't remember all 8 of them. LOL. Nick thinks we should each have a cake but I'm not a sweet eater so that would be very wasteful.

So.... what's everyone doing this lovely afternoon?

It's 1 pm in the mountains and I must scoot to the clinic. We close early today (6 pm service at church) and I must write out some Christmas Bonus checks.

If it's Bowl Week there MUST be a football game on, so know when I come back for my 3-hours of therapy, I will have a game to watch!

After that, who knows what might show up!

Ha...Diane!! Looks like Santa is taking a little nap waiting for Nick to go to sleep!!! :D

I am practicing digital photography! MY Santa (me) brought me a digital camera for Christmas and since I was with "her" when "she" bought it, it wasn't wrapped, so I went ahead and opened it!! [IMG] Now that everything else for Christmas is done, I'm playing with my camera and learning how to use it!!

We have a 7:00 p.m. Christmas Eve Candlelight service tonight. I will go to that, then not sure...have "My Fair Lady" on DVD, so may watch that and wait for Santa! Tomorrow morning, I will go to my brother's and spend the day there.

We are TOTALLY breaking with tradition this year and are having cornish game hens with wild rice and cranberry stuffing. I have made an awesome chocolate pie and my "traditional" cheeseball. We "munch" in the morning, do stockings and presents, then have dinner and usually watch a fun movie together. I will come home late tomorrow night. We're a small family now, but we love Christmas and still keep a lot of the traditions we were raised with.

Dr. Bob, send one to me and C.J. just for being online at the right time, Okay?

Hey C.J., I dread the day when I don't have little ones around. I've got it planned out tho. Jon is 27 and single. By time Eden (3), Jack (1) and Kaylee (7 months) are 'older', Jon will certainly have found a nice girl and had some kids... then Nick (9) will be grown and his will come along... but then when his are about past the Santa age, Eden, Jack and Kaylee will have some little ones so.... I don't think I'll run out of little ones for a LONG time. LOL

Enjoy your day. I love Cornish hens! I make a turkey last for a while tho with soups, stew, etc.

Merry Christmas everyone! Have a blessed celebration. [IMG] My wife and I will shortly leave to daughter #1 for dinner, and exchanging gifts. Tomorrow going to daughter #2 and see the three grandkids. [IMG]

Let us never forget that there is a reason for the season, and that reason is the Lord Jesus Christ!

    Good Afternoon All!

I am just chillin' today, recuperating from four days with the grands. :D

We will be alone for the rest of the holidays, so there is no hurry to get anything done.

Just finished watching Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, I could watch that over and over! [IMG]

We will be watching more movies this evening and drinking egg nog and eating the cookies I baked. Yummmmmm!

It is so beautiful and then a lovely angel bookmark!

We have had a lovely day with Ed's children and next we go to church for the candlelighting ceremony.

I'm the organist and I have no idea what the program is....I love our music director. He keeps us guessing. I hope I don't have to do much sight reading..

Even tho we have Nick, our Christmases are much more quiet than when we had the whole family together. I sometimes miss the big hoopla but the day is much more peaceful!

We still have the big meal and Nick has been told he can NOT get up before 6 tomorrow! He's been up since 2:45 a.m.!!!!

Tough when you have a camera SMARTER THAN YOU ARE! My Sony 5.0 megapixel that I just got for Christmas/new baby has more settings for flash.

And only 120 page book so I might get it read in my lifetime!

Oh well, stopped by to check in, brush the fangs, and off to church. TTFNBB

If you see a fat man ...Who's jolly and cute,
wearing a beard and a red flannel suit,

and if he is chuckling and laughing away,
while flying around in a miniature sleigh

with eight tiny reindeer to pull him along,
then lets face it... Your eggnog's too strong!!!
