On one website where I was an administrator for a number of years, we had spelling/ grammar check built in that only a few used. Most members really should have!

One of my pet peeves is sentences like "Where are you going to?"

I don't have a real problem with mispeled words, but do often leave words out all together.

At least you don't say, "is you is or is you ain't."

'ain't' is a four letter word and should be banned by the FCC [IMG]

does that make your 'ain't' polyapostrophic?

We all know that the proper phrase is "is you is or is you isn't. That's what dangling prepositions are for.

Good news! I JUST got a call back from the mother of the after school kids. She wants me to continue keeping and picking up the 5 year old and will let her 12 year old ride the bus home and care for herself. (The 12 year old is NOT going to like that!) That saves me 30 mins. drive time and 10 extra miles a day. I'll still get part of my money which is a far cry from NO money. THANKS for praying! God is good.

Agree Sue.... and yet I'm guilty of breaking a lot of these grammar rules each day.

Ever notice how people will say 'Come and go with Nick and I' when it should be 'Nick and me'? Take away the first pronoun to see which is proper.

So..... now that we've all come up with grammar rules for today, .... what's everyone doing tonight?

I've got to call and check on details for the AWANA games on Saturday. I'm letting Jim go with Nick and I'm staying home unless they put a major guilt trip on me before then. [IMG] It's such a long day and I've done it for so many years. This year I'd go for the sole purpose of watching Nick participate for approximately 5 mins.

Yankees can't come and go at the same time. Maybe I can bring you some "northernisms" or would that be take you some northernisms. Then again if I already done took 'em; you'd have 'em.

BTW, I have about 35 students heading south for spring break. Anyone down there want to wipe their noses for a week?

They are all over 20. Of course at that age, they all think they wear capes and have a red S on their chest.

I haven't been sleeping well, so I am going to shower and go to bed, with my library book, at 8:00. I've been staying up until 9-10 and getting up between 3-4, and not sleeping well in-between and I NEVER get a NAP anymore...

    Good night all and

I can grab a nap on Sunday after lunch but that's about it. I miss my naps! Well, I DO get to sleep in until Tuesday morning now and since the mom decided to keep sending one child, I'm only out about $45. a week but save on gas, snacks, soda... I can deal with that. [IMG]

    Sleep Well Sue!
