    Guilty as charged! [IMG]
When my kids were little, my husband worked very irregular hours. I never worried about a regular bedtime for them. It wasn't because I worked outside the home because I didn't.
When they got older, my husband's work schedule had adjusted, and they went to bed earlier anyway to get up for school.
Although they would still stay up later during the summer.
I betcha Ty will do just fine, and that it won't hurt him a bit to sleep in at your house instead of watching a few cartoons. [IMG]

Goodness, Goodness Gracious! What a week! Glad it's over! Sunday is going to be a killer day tho. Between Jim having to do the sound for 3 services and us teaching Sunday School, we have our end of the year Discipleship/ Puppet Team party in the afternoon and a special church service on Sunday night for our AWANA clubbers followed by a Puppet Show by Nick and his team. I have to get the Cubbies, ages 3-4, to sit together quietly for an hour?????

About Ty, His schedule interfers with the rest of us. His bed is in my t.v. / play room. I have another rec room downstairs but since Ty sleeps with Mom and Dad, having him sleep in the toy room is a miracle! The room downstairs also has a door that goes into the side yard. The other kids come 3 days a week and he comes 4. Some weeks they'll only be here 2 days together. During the summer tho, I'll have two brothers for short term child care for a single mom from our church. They'll come at 6:15 and go back to bed. I have no idea where they'll sleep. She said they both take LONG naps right after lunch. Gotta think through my sleeping plan!

This has been an exhausting week! Only doing child care 3 days next week tho because of my eye surgery. Ty is Mon. thru Wed. WE THINK. It may just be Tues and Wed. MacKenzie and Brayden are 11-3 on Mon. and 6:10 - 3:30 ish on Tuesday. Max is after school Mon. thru Wed. I won't have him once school is out.

Friday night is movie night at our house. Brent usually picks the movies.

Tonight we are watching "Larry Boy". It's a Christian animation series, somewhat like the "Veggie Tales", but geared to a little older child.

We have two of them to watch. I think "Garfield" will have to wait until tomorrow...

    I'm signing off for tonight.

    Pleasant dreams all!

    §ue (It's popcorn night too!)

Ah, we have the Larry Boy videos Sue. They're really cute! You might look for Bibleman also. Those are GREAT for boys!

[IMG] We have them all but the very newest one. Excellent!

We also like McGee and Me. [IMG]

    Hey ya'll!

Today has been much better than yesterday, except I still ITCH!

However, I was taught to count my blessings, so I will. The tire got fixed in 10 minutes for $5 after school. The heatpump is fixed again(we won't talk about how much that cost) and we have cool air blowing. I didn't have to work with the handicap kids I thought I was working with and had a group of wonderful 1st graders instead. And T's pay raise was in our check today! Yay! Son is doing his best to feel better although he is still having to take the pain meds. My ankle is not hurting as much as I expected after being on it today. And last but not least, it is a three day weekend for me and the kids!

How's that for a turnaround just since yesterday? God is indeed good!

The weather here has been really nice today, but we're going to pay for it later tonight when strong thunderstorms are supposed to blow through. I hope the rain washes out whatever is bothering my allergies so bad.

Well HEY Cindi! Glad, so glad, it was a much better day. I had my hands full but managed to get out alive. Full Moon Approaching!

Neat! Three day weekends are GREAT! I used to have most Friday's off.... but not anymore. Oh well, the money's good. [IMG]

Almost time for NUMB3RS and I've got permanent press in the dryer so think I'll shut down for the night.

Sleep Well all! Keep Dry Cindi! It LOOKS like the storms are going to rise above you and maybe just a few light showers for much later tonight. I may be wrong but the radar sure shows it that way. ;)

    Amen!!

We spent $275 getting one little torn up spot on the front porch roof fixed. The shingles must have been loose for a while, just not obvious until about 6 weeks ago, because the decking, or sheathing, [the plywood] was rotten on the edge.
The whole thing needs replacing, and the estimate was . .. . .are you ready? . . . . .$6,550!!

I had a whole room(except the foundation) added onto my house two years ago for $6500! For that price, I'll come to Georgia and fix it for you myself! One little roof shouldn't have to cost so much.

Oh, or were you talking about replacing the whole porch?

I'm about to shut down for the night myself. I'm tired and now my eyes are getting all yucky. Come Tuesday, I'm taking myself to the doctor. Maybe I'll get to kill two birds with one visit and get both the allergies and the ankle taken care of at the same time. Bet she sends me to the foot doc for the ankle though.

I'll try to see ya'll tomorrow, but, since it's payday and I worked today instead of buying groceries, I expect a full day of shopping and errand running. Then Precious has a performance with her school choir tomorrow night. Ya'll have a good day without me.

My son had that experience. When he was at college, he shared a run-down house down by a canal with some other lads and they suspected that they had mice, rats, or both, so they sprinkled talcum powder on the kitchen floor and, sure enough, there were footprints in it. He went into the kitchen one night and, like you, there was a large rat sitting in the middle of the kitchen floor looking at him. They had to call in the pest control people themselves because they couldn't contact their landlord (who lived in another town and didn't care what happened so long as he got his rent :( ).

    Good morning all:

We are actually going to have some sunshine today but we still have a chance of rain. High 59º.

It would be nice if we could get some yard work done. The high winds lately have blown several branches down that need picked up and the grass needs mowed.

    Cruising,

Morning all! It began storming around 6:00 a.m. here and is still raining but not like it was! It's moving due east so will probably be over soon! I've only been up about 45 mins. I woke at 4:00 because a muscle pull from lifting one of the children was really hurting. I didn't get fully back to sleep until after 7. I'd drift off to sleep and then startle myself awake while dreaming. UG! I'd watched t.v. in bed until midnight.

Jim's just gotten home. He's on call tho so has to stay dressed and ready to go if someone calls. I've got a lot of housework to do so ttyl.

It is a beautiful day here, but we sure need the rain.

For those who are keeping count, one more mouse for a total of four. Now all Muffin has to do is bark when we have caught a mouse.

    The Baby Birds are growing.

It is cleanup day so we have been watching dump trucks and front loaders picking up stuff. Something must be wrong we didn't have anything to throw away.

We are on our way to a local art festival! I'm going to look at art and Ed wants to "look" at the food.

    Have a great day everyone.

Patches will get right up on the keyboard, Sue! She's a nut! Tries to find things on my desk to bat around.

I'm taking a short break from housework. It's so very difficult to only be able to clean on Saturdays. Seems like I never get to enjoy a clean house but I'm making a good amount doing my childcare.

The rain seems to have stopped for us. It's still very overcast and dark. I've got windows opened to enjoy the soft breeze. [IMG]

Jim got called out to a house with mice. The fella had been trying to kill them with the poison bait. Big no no! If they eat it and go back into the walls, your house will stink for a LONG time. Probably what you smelled under your sink, Thankful and Ed, when you first moved in. I'm sorry you have so many! Sounds like they've nested and multiplied. Your pest control provider should come out and remove them for you! That's what you pay them for each month!

    Isn't THAT the truth, Ed?!?

Jim found one mouse at the fellas house but found a large hole in the process of being chewed on the steps in the basement. The pest control dude rushed right over to install traps! They're thinking 'rat' down there! NICE house too.

Nick and Jim have just left for the movies. I've got supper dishes to load and am done for the day. The dust and pollen really have bothered my eyes! EEK

That's to re-shingle the whole house and put up three vents. Hopefully that would include replacing any boards that need it.

I must be living in the wrong state. We got an estimate for adding a room onto this house and it was upwards of $25,000!

We all KNOW Illinois is the wrong state for anything, Sue!!

Son is house shopping in SoCal. 1250 sq ft with a small lawn. 3BR, 2B and car port for $450,000. Now THAT is a scarey place to live . .
