Tony: Unless Barnabas snuck in and took the last of the Dr. Pepper, we still have some. ;)

    Good morning all:

It is a cool 58º here this morning and the high is only going to be 72º today! Is Autumn here already???

I am taking the car to the shop this morning and will wait there until they finish working on it it. Hopefully, I'll be home by lunchtime. The seatbelt will be fixed, but I'LL be broke.

    Cruising,

Good Morning all. It has been really, really raining here. But that is expected. The State Fair begins today [IMG]

It usually rains during our State Fair. I haven't been to a State Fair in years. My mother used to enter some of her handwork and she would always win first prize. I have never entered anything in a state fair.

I'm trying to decide if I want to leave the house today.

    I'll stop by later.

That's what it looked like while cleaning up the mess from the roof!!!

I used the same kind of tool that you do!

I decided to come home and wait for the car to be fixed. They said two hours, but I might have been sitting out there all day!

When people ask me if I help my Wife with the housecleaning I reply "of course. Last night she mopped the floor with me." [IMG]

4 hours and $435.00 later I got my car home. It worked fine.

However...when I took it to work this afternoon, the seatbelt stuck again just like it did before!

Off to the garage again tomorrow morning.

    Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!

    hello there folks,

Only three radiation treatments to go!! WhooHooo!!!!
Then I guess they'll do a CT or another MRI to see if it worked. (Haven't been informed) Will see the Oncologist next week and I reckon we'll discuss it then.

Last night after church, my two angel-babies and two others were running around in the auditorium, after being told not to [GGRRR!] and Wesley ran into the corner of a pew and got himself his first "shiner".

Tony, I'm leaving some Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper if you'd like to try some. I like it.

Sue, It would be rather ironic (and expensive) if the original part they wouldn't refund for was the problem all along.

Wot was wrong with the old seatbelts..I mean the older model seatbelts,,a belt bolted to the frame? I guess they were too inexpensive!

    Cheers,

    Jim

Gayla, Good to hear your radiation treatments are almost over. Trust that all will go well with the future evaluation. You seem to be rather cheerful about the whole thing and that IS half the battle. God bless you.

    Cheers,

    Jim

And they never malfunctioned so no one had to pay to have them repaired!!!

It's these automatic shoulder straps that fasten themselves around you when you get in the car that break and cost a LOT of money to fix!

My car is 11 years old and it has one of those. I dislike it immensely! I can't remember how many times I've almost hung myself trying to get out of the car before it has finished it's route!

Gayla: GREAT news! Hang in there (and I can tell that you are!)

    Good morning all:

Uh oh, I beat Tony here this morning...

It is a cool º55 this morning and will not reach the 80º mark all next week!!!

I will be at the car dealer's, getting the seatbelt fixed AGAIN, most of the morning.

They have a nice lounge area so I'm taking Brent's school work and he can do it out there while we wait.

They have free coffee and fresh cookies, however, for the prices they charge, they should have free T-Bone steak!!!

Good Morning! Busy day ahead. I must go by the church to pickup music for the revival meeting.

Taking more paintings to the mall for sale. I been given more room to display and she would like for me to set up and paint some during the week. It seems that I sell more paintings when I am there.

Trying to please the public is fun, isn't it?

Some want the paintings framed. Some don't!
Some like the frame that I choose. Some don't!
Some, "oh could you paint this in a different color"?

I really admire people who can market just what people want!

    Evening all:

I know I wasn't here as early as usual. We were awakened this morning to the sound of hail and thunder with LOTS of lightening and high winds. It sounded like a tornado, and Viv and I ran to the hallway where we closed all the doors to the hallway and sat with our flashlights and candles. The power went out and was out for three hours. It had stormed off and on all night, but nothing as bad as what we awoke to at 4:15am. We light a lot of candles after the storm passed and it warmed it up some inside and gave off enough light until just after daybreak.

It was supposed to only get to 82 here, but it's been over 90.

I would have been on earlier, but I had to go back to bed after we went to the dump, got groceries and got the mail. My ears were making me quite dizzy, and I'm starting again. If I don't come on the rest of the weekend, you'll know why.

Be good, be kind, be careful.

Wow, Tony! Sorry to hear about the storm and sorry to hear about your health.

I have three grandsons to entertain tonight and birthday cake and ice cream to eat (we just ate pizza). I am signing off now so I can spend the rest of the evening with them.

    Pleasant dreams all!

Spring and fall maybe? 52º this morning with a high of 78º today. Beautiful weather!

    Good morning all!

The boys and I had fun last night, but it was a short night. I put them to bed at 10:00 and they were still yakking when I went to bed at 11:30!

The "Railsplitting" Festival is going on this week end. Brent and I will be heading that way, perusing the flea markets and eating 'fair food' for lunch, after we drop Stephen off at home.

    Cruising,

    Afternoon all:

Vivian and I had to go out and dig up some poles this morning out in the front yard by the road. The neighbor was kind enough to plow down all of the overgrowth and remove the fencing and that was a blessing. He's been a very good hearted neighbor and we do appreciate his doing these things without us asking. He's really been a big help! [IMG] It only took us about 30 minutes to get the poles up. They were dug in pretty deep.

I am doing a bit better today. At least I've been able to get outside, a place I love to be, and do some yard work, a thing I love to do! [IMG] God has been good to me.

Viv's making a bunch of danishes right now. I'm glad that she is. I like it when she bakes. She's a very good cook, though at times she is so unsure of herself in that area and afraid to try new things. She usually conquers all of the obstacles that come her way in cooking and even in other areas. She's a keeper, that's for sure! [IMG]

Tomorrow I've got a meeting with the associate pastor and the pastor of the church. We are discussing how to take members so that we can start doing so. I was surprised that they put me on the panel considering that I requested that they wait on adding me as an associate pastor, too, until some of the ruckus from the previous church had blown over. It still hasn't. I signed over the ownership of the websites to the previous church but didn't email them the codes, etc., that I had in my possession. I don't have them anyhow. They were lost in the computer crash last week. Viv and I lost a lot of money signing over ownership to the church without them paying anything. Yet, they seemed unbothered by it. Oh, well, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. I believe it helped to make a permanent break from them and made me more able to serve at Faith.

If I'm not back on, the Lord bless and keep ya'll this weekend.

Be good, be kind, be careful.

    Good morning all:

It is a cool 55º this morning with a high of 83º expected.

I went into a bronchitis attack yesterday and didn't make it to the Railsplitting festival. I went to bed early and I 'think' I feel better this morning.

The weather turned cool so fast that I think all three of us are coming down with a cold.

If I make it to church, we will go to the festival this afternoon.

    Have a blessed Lord's day!

    It was a good day!

Back to work and school tomorrow.

    Good Morning!!

Well, I've had eight of ten radiation treatments, and my back hasn't hurt at all today (Sunday) it didn't hurt much Fri or Sat either. I'm praying this is a good thing!!

tonight the choir was sing "I Am Redeemed" written by Phil Cross, and several of the men started shouting and raising their arms then the Preacher got up and took off running down the aisle. Had heard of that but never seen it before.
Then Wesley, who got his first shiner Wed after the service because he was running in the church and hit the pew looked at his daddy and said, "you're not supposed to do that in the church." [IMG] [IMG] (He's so precious!)
