Come on in. The place is full of squirrels. I guess you're the first one that's housebroken, though. [IMG]

Good Morning, everyone! I can't believe that I got up early on a holiday!

I have balanced my checkbook and cleaned my desk. Now I'm ready for the rest of the day.

Hope everyone has a great day. I may take a nap. I got up so early this morning.

    Good Morning Everyone!

I've been up since about 9:30. Drunk a pot of coffee with Hubby(Sunday is our 18 aniversary!), fed the mutts, figured the checkbook, but I didn't and am not going to clean off the desk!

I've got to spend at least part of the day cleaning as we have company coming next weekend. I really have to get those carpets cleaned now. Then this evening the kids are testing for their senior green belts at karate. We'll end up being busy, but at least we got to sleep in.

    Ya'll have a nice day!

    Good evening, all.

We had a big adventure today. We went all the way to WAlmart. No matter what empty aisle we went down, the minute we stopped to look at something, I kid you not there would be 10 people trying to get to the exact spot where we were all saying "excuse me" and walking right over us. I know those are magic words, but I just can't move that fast. Well, we only go there about once a month or two.

Do you think they thought we had found a special bargain or something? Most of them didn't choose anything from that shelf.

It has been a great day and look forward to a wonderful evening.

    Betty

Thankful; Wal-Mart will be like that until after Christmas! I like to go early in the morning or late at night. It's not so crowded.

I developed a bad headache today so Grandpa and Brent went shopping for my birthday present and they ate lunch out to give me time to take a little nap.

I feel much better now, but I'm still tired. I haven't slept really well since the time changed! I forced myself to go back to sleep this morning and I think that's what gave me the headache. Once I'm awake - I'm up!

Brent and I are going to watch the new "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" on DVD and I already KNOW I'm not going to like it. I like the original movies, but rarely like the remakes...

    Have a good evening all.

    Evening All!

Sue, the kids just got through watching Willy Wonka. Kept 5 kids from 7 to 13 quiet all the way through. They loved it. It's not the same as the original at all. I think the original was better, but this one is a close, close second.

We've made it through the day! The kids did well at their testing tonight. Put some(more) Christmas on lay away at Walmart. We've had supper(thank you Papa John's) and now I'm sitting here. I think I'm going to get up and see if I can't find a pattern I lost earlier this week. I have a piece of fabric that I bought too much of and it's in my way. I want to make myself a coat dress out of it and maybe a skirt and jacket for Precious. I have to find the pattern first.

Thankful, our Walmart was like that today too. I've gotten to where I hate to go in there on the weekends. It's much better to go early on Monday or Tuesday mornings. Of course that would mean T and the kids would never get to go. Hmmmm, that might be a good thing! :D

    Hi all!

Daughter and I still in Lancaster. Had a really good time with the Christian School teachers. Learned a lot about Biblical leadership and discipline. And practical info about Power Point and Access from the director of systems at Baptist Bible College in PA.

The two of us went to Good 'n' Plenty for dinner - Pennsylvania Dutch cooking served family style. Had fried chicken, ham, beef stew, dried corn, buttered noodles, lima beans, mashed potatoes, pepper hash, bread and apple butter, chow chow (pickled bean salad), pumpkin pie, jello, ice cream, tapiocca pudding and shoo fly pie! Well, I didn't have it all myself, but that's what was on the table!

Tomorrow we will make our way home to Philly by way of the famous outlet malls - 2 of 'em. Wonder when we'll make it home?

Debby - two malls? Ummmm. You'll make it home just in time to wrap the Christmas presents...

Did you try the ShooFly Pie? I made one once just to see what it tasted like. I didn't care for it, but I can see why the settlers in wagon trains made it. It only calls for ingredients that they would have with them.

    Pleasant dreams all!

Sue, I ran to see when your birthday is. I thought, oh dear, we have missed it. Debby that sounds like so much fun.

Mk, if it keeps kids that quiet, I'm going to buy that dvd so I'll be prepared for the next round of grandkids that visit.

Today, We bought Stars Wars, Harry Potter, and Skipping Christmas dvd's. This should keep every body in the family occupied for a long time.

    Good night, All

    Betty

    Good morning all:

Thankful, sometimes I'd just as soon 'miss' it, but then I think of the alternative and am always glad to have another birthday...

It is 43º this morning heading for a high of 63º with rain. Dale was supposed to hang the Christmas 'light holders' along the gutters today. I hope he can get it done before it rains.

I still have my headache and am all stuffed up this morning. I'm wondering if I need to put a small humifier in the bedroom?

    Off to make coffee,

It is actually 6 below freezing here this morning. I might find an indoors job until the full sun comes out and it warms up a tad.

Birthdays? Wot are they? I conveniently forget them all the time now..they just seem to be getting older each year. Daughter says she forgets my birthday cos it reminds her of her own age.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Wow Jim! I can't remember the last time I was in weather that cold. Thank the Lord I live in the south cause my arthritis is aching just thinking about 6 below. Brrrrrr!

It was cool here this morning but to so cool that I couldn't walk out on the deck in my shorts. Hehe, I heard a noise that I thought was my pool pump running on air and thought it must be really getting hot to make that loud of a noise. Ran out and the backyard neighbors have a backhoe digging up their backyard. I'm really going to have to get my hearing checked.

Gotta finish getting this house ready for company today. That means getting caught up on the laundry, cleaning carpets(no I still haven't go to it yet) and putting Precious on the lawn mower if T can get it started. Maybe a few more things if I can get to them. I have slave labor today(4 kids) :D and no running around to do!

Sue's rain is supposed to make it here sometime tonight or in the morning. I hope it rains hards as the woods are dry and we're starting to have wild fires. One burned right up to MIL's land line, the last couple of days. Thankfully there was a logging road there that kept it off her property. They had had the timber cut a couple of years ago and had it reseeded. A fire right now would have killed all the little trees.

    Ya'll have a good one!

    Good Morning, all!

It is 72 degrees here this morning, but I understand that some of that cold air that Jim is experiencing is supposed to arrive sometime this weekend with possible storms.

We are having a late breakfast and getting ready to watch the OU (University of Oklahoma) game. They are playing Texas A&M today and I imagine that the Aggies are ready to walk all over OU.

MK, glad the fire stopped. We are having those kind of fires in our State too.

    Have a great weekend.

    Afternoon, all:

It's been a long week for me. Had my spinal epidural injections yesterday and am a bit sore, but ready to try and post a few. Thanks to those who were praying.

Our church got a building to start meeting in on Sunday mornings and evening, so we can start having evening services again. This is only on Sundays. The building is in use every other day of the week. It is from another SBC church and they are going to have their new building done in January. They are currently meeting at a local high school. We praise the Lord for this! :) The land/building was for sale, and an investor had tried to buy it and was going to rent it out to a buddhist temple, but they backed out and the deal fell through because there was no door facing East. This made it available for us. We don't know how long we can rent it, but it will be available FULL TIME if they don't sell it by the middle of January. They are asking $150K for it...that's a building, a double-wide for SS and 7 acres. Usually that property would sell for well over $250K. It would be great if God would allow us to buy the property.

Other than that, all here is about the same. Just wanted to check in and let ya'll know I'm alive. I'm set up for another set of injections on Nov 23rd, so, we won't be going home for Thanksgiving this year.

Have a great Lord's Day tomorrow.

Be good, Be kind, Be careful

    Bro. T

Good to see you, Tony. We missed you.

WoW, that was some football game. I really got worried the last quarter, but OU won, and one day with all these young players, they will have a super team again.

It was difficult for me to watch the game and keep up with the threads on the BB.

It was a gorgeous day to-day, and I enjoyed working outdoors the whole day. Almost ready for winter now. I still have a large window to install in the living room, but it can be done mid-winter on a calm and sunny day.

Good to see Tony posting again..Keep looking up. mate.

    Cheers,

    Jim

The high was over 80 today. Wind was very high until just an hour or so ago. We took advantage and did more things in the yard. The grass had grown over some of our termite traps so we located them and I will call the company on Monday. They have not been checking them as they should.

    Take care.

    Well, it's whining time again...

The new roof on the porch is leaking! I have about 9 pots catching the drips. Yes, it is the one we just spent all the money on to get it fixed.

We had a severe thunderstorm with lots of wind and rain, but it still should not have leaked. It must not have been done right. Not sure what we're going to do now.

I am ready to throw my hands up and quit or be totally female and sit down and have a good cry!!!
