Hello folks! Hope you all had a blessed Christmas celebration - and you did not feed yourselves excessively on sweets.... ;)

We had a wonderful church celebration with children's choir, adult choir, and string instrumentals. The children also presented the Christmas story in native costumes.

Had a great day with children, grandchildren, relatives and loved ones. Even the pouring rain and heavy thick fog could not take away our enthusiasm for the Lord. We had a great meal, a sweet fellowship, and oh yeah, the grandchildren enjoyed opening their presents.

By the way, the link below is to our church - following the recent snow storm. Have a nice day all, and Sue keep the Dr Pepper supplies on the shelves! [IMG] [IMG]

    Barnabas....
So thats why I have a hard time findin' the DP!
Thats all right, since I've learned my way around I'll just silp a case into the back room!!
I had a nice surprise awhile ago, my Dad & step-mom came by. I didn't get to go see them christmas day (truck woes) and Daddy don't drive much distance any more (health). But they came by to visit & bring our presents!! Agee's gonna be mad cause she's at work. Well that & I gave our glider rocker to Jo (step-mom). We don't have room for it after Agee got me the recliner. Keeps me from having to make more room in my building too!! [IMG]

Christmas Eve was lovely. The musical / drama came off almost perfect (a few sound problems). Christmas Day it was indeed a small congregation, Sunday School was all of 10 kids. So we had a Happy Birthday Jesus party, with cake and candles, the whole deal!

When we got to the family feast, I heard a great story about one of my nephews. He got up early Christmas morning, ran downstairs, not knowing that dad was secretly watching. The first thing my nephew did was go into the kitchen, where there was a Christmas picture he had made on the fridge, and got on his knees and sang Happy Birthday to Jesus, and then came out and opened his presents! I guess he got the point!

Brother Barnabas, Good to see you and hear that you and yours had a lovely time at Christmas. Mary spent Christmas in Florida this year at daughter's home. She'll be back in January. So, I have been busy working at drywall and those jobs I find hard to do with her home...I can smash a hammer at 3:AM without being shouted at.

    Cheers, mate,

    Jim

(Yawn) g'mornin' folks. Give me a moment to open my mouth and pour some wake up juice in my eyes.... wait a minute, reverse that.

Have a bad habit of going to bed when many are just getting up. Well, when ya have a TV remote, ya gotta use it, doncha?

Anyway, the Lord gives His beloved sleep, some more than others. My mother called me to let me know she got 10 pair of socks for Christmas and they were for men or women. They are too tight for her, so she is sending them to me the first of the month. If she had not called, I would still be sleeping. Ha Ha

Good Afternoon, everyone. The Coffee House has been really busy this morning. I'm glad there are still some food and drink left.

The weather here is very strange. A record high was set yesterday. We are very warm and now today windy. It is 72 degrees now.

    Have a great day!

    Betty

After you have 100 posts, mail the picture you would like to have under your name to the webmaster. He will add it for you as soon as he gets time.

Can I have my picture posted too Lady Sue? Please, pretty please.... [IMG] By the way, you made me hungry when you descreibed the breakfast you were preparing! It must have been awsome. [IMG]

Hey, Bro. Preacher, you like to have a doctor in the house too? The Dr Pepper kind? ;)

Bro. Jim, it is awful that you have to work on your abode while the Lady of the House is away. I thought she was a help-mate to you. Just don't overdo it my friend... leave some work for tomorrow! [IMG]

Linda, it is nice bumping into you at Sue's Coffee House! [IMG] Be sure you come again. She is a great host!

    Hi new CH members!

    Hope everyone's fine today.

I've been sent to my room and I'm not allowed out. The kids are getting a play ready. An after after Christmas play.

I forced my way out to use the restroom. I'm also not allowed to use the one in my room, or at least not while the youngest is around. She decided it's her house. She decided that this morning and has moved stuff in and put a sign on the door saying so. [IMG]

Oh, Gina, that is so funny! I love the way little girls play! My granddaughter moved into the closet for about 15 minutes. [IMG] But it didn't have a tv in it and for some reason no one would move one in there for her.

    Good evening folks!

I'm back on my own computer with letters that actually work when you press them. I had really expected to be back before now, but somewhere between my bed and the three steps it takes to get to the computer a whole day has passed. [IMG]

It has been gorgeous outside. It was up in the high 60's. So we got the outside Christmas lights down, Bitsy's trampoline built and the motorcycles ready for 3 months of nonuse. It was a great day for outside work. To bad it can't last a few more days. Tomorrow it is supposed to rain.

Oh my Gina, does that ever sound like my house! Except for the locked in my room part. I'd never get that lucky!

We have had some terrible wild fires in Oklahoma today and I read that Texas has had them also.

With wind gusts to 40 miles per hour, it was difficult to stop the fires Entire neighborhoods were affected. I have not seen the latest news to see how many homes destroyed or people injured, but it is major.

I was ready to evacuate *, but didn't have any idea where I would go if the fires started in my area. Fortunately for us, the fires did not come near us. There is only one way into or out of our area.

*(Please note MK, that I nearly said evaluate, but caught it before you did.

Eee, but that's scarey! I hope they get the fires out quickly, or ya'll get a good downpour that puts them out.

I really can't imagine trying to evacuate. 3 dogs, 4 guinea pigs, 1 cat, hamster, tree frogs and 3 kids, what a riot! It's bad enough if we have a tornado warning. Dogs and leashes come into the downstairs hallway, guinea pigs, hamster and frogs go in one half of the master bath, the cat goes in the other, and we sit in the bend of the middle hall(just to make sure the dogs stay separate from the other critters). I've only had to do it once, but it's lots of fun!  [IMG]

    Sounds like
    y'all are having fun.

We've had our first fish fatality. Came home from the Church this evening (Those of us that sing "Specials" have decided we want to practice so we sound like we actually took time to prepare.) and the kiddos turned on the tank light and one of the fishies was lying on top of the plant. . .

Well figured I'd run Bh over & turn her loose. She's kinda' tired tonite, runnin' all over the house burying nuts! I told her if she did a good job tonite I'd take her outside tomorrow where she can be a real squirrel! For a little while anyway.
I think I'm actually gonna try to go to bed a little earlier tonite.
If anyone comes in & hears noise in the back room it's proably BH nosing around...or burying something!
Have a good nite All,...see ya in the morning BH!
