Well, just got in and glanced over the posts...

Welcome, BobDudley, to the BB and thanx for stopping by the CGCH!

    Fresh Doughnuts still warm ...
    2 dozen cake
    4 dozen glazed
    4 dozen filled assorted

Being the third of the month and I know many like myself get checks today, I figgered we may need extra doughnuts for that extra zip of energy.

7, count 'em, 7 decanters of coffee.
    5 regular
    2 decaf

Hot water on back burner for Tea, Hot Chocolate, or Hot Apple Cider.

Be careful when pouring, contents are hot.

Oh, and preacher. I noticed a pecan stuck in the bottom of the oven when I opened it this morning. Are you teaching BH to make pies?

    Hi BD, and welcome. [IMG]

Well, it's been an interesting morning. I got a major paper done, and now it's time to go for some new creative writing material, but I needed a brain break!

The girls are all in school today, so I get to play catch up on all this stuff. The girls decided that we can have "cleaning day" today instead of tomorrow, so I'll have to live without a nap later on. OH THE HORROR!

That nut in the bottom of the oven sounds tempting. When I bake cookies I'll throw a few extra ones on the baking sheet, because they're so good toasted! Yes, I'm hungry right now. I keep forgetting to eat breakfast. I wish I'd forget to eat the rest of the day more often. HA!

You guys have fun. I'm gonna go read your posts and make a story out of 'em. :D

    Evening all,

We just finished watching Don Knotts in "Mr. Limpet". Brent had never seen it and he loved it!

We are going to watch MONK and then head for bed.

    Pleasant dreams all!

I haven't even peeked my head in here before! I wonder why? What a great conversation :D so I'll just jump in and hope I don't look dorky jumping in the middle. (I work with 8th graders -- most of what I say is dorky ;) )

Ron's been gone all week. I've been getting sick -- probably hayfever because it's been in the 70's all week. I was so looking forward to him getting home to take care of me. WEEEEELLLLLL, he got home and sounds worse than I do.

That's what I get for thinking! Maybe if I tuck him in with the heating pad, he'll get up first and make the coffee :D

    Evening Folks'!
Been another long day here on the homefront.Working on buggy computers again, working on our business venture, working on paying bills, working on Sams pen, working in the yard, even had to work on BH's cage! She rattles it so much it's fallin apart!!
Welcome Mr.Bob Dudley, you have NO idea where you've stumbled into! If you're a late nite visitor just be watchfull for a little furball of a squirrel named BH, she sorta controls things in here after 11pm or so.
SFIC, now do you really think my BH would get near anything that cooks other things!! Ever since that time Agee stuck her in a stewpot she won't go near the stove!! By the way her rash & sores are healing quite nicely. Agee said if a bath can do wonders like that for a squirrel, then I gotta take one more often! I told her "I ain't got no sores on me!", & she just looked at me with a pretty little smile & says' "yeah....not yet"!!! Most accurate female with an iron skillet I've ever seen.

    Mornin' Gang!
Took my little wife to work, but the way her hip seemed to be bothering her she may not be there long.
BH is back in her box & even plugged the opening with cotton, course it is kinda chilly here this mornin', around 20 or so.
I've got the coffee on, don't know why I'm not a coffee drinker...love the smell of it in the mornings.
Well, I turned the heat up a tad, gotta run & start gettin busy. Have a blessed day!!

    Good morning all,

It is cold here too, Preacher (20º). Brrrrrr. Hard to believe it was 65º one day this week.

I'm not doing anything strenuous but I'm taking a walk 'down memory lane'. I have an Amish oak chest which is full of thousands of photographs. My pictures are not organized, but at least they're all in the same place.

Vern has been wanting me to send him a particular photograph for quite some time and I've just not taken the time to search through the 'chest'. Well, today is the day...

I know Brent will get a kick out of seeing all of his relatives as they were growing up, including yours truly and his mama. :D

I slept in this morning. Of course, I didn't really get much sleep. I was doing research on the net until almost 3:00 this morning.

Coffee is hot, water for tea is steeping and donuts are under the glass shield on the main counter. I have to keep the donuts under glass because some of them have nuts on them and you know how BH is!

    CYAL,

Everything is safe for the time being, BH is listening to some music. I'd bought Agee some CD's with sounds & music, ya know birds chirping, fountains flowing & such, well she gave them to BH!!But they keep her chilled out.
I's warming up here, already 48, & still climbing.Thats good though cause I'm sure my little honey will have more for me to do when she gets in. I'm fixin to set in being a good husband & clean the house some. Sometimes I'm tempted to miss the good ole days, just puttin it off till tomorrow,...or next month!
Made fresh coffee fore leaving, grabed a doughnut!

    Hi Bitsy! [IMG]

I meant to welcome you to the CGCH in my earlier post and forgot. [IMG]

I hope you'll become a regular. We are very laid-back here and we get to know each other and chit chat rather than debate issues.

And there is ALWAYS plenty to eat and drink (calorie free)! :D

I didn't even get to the picture chest yet. I doubt that it will get done today. We had other things pop up that needing doing...

I am getting ready to run errands, get Brent a haircut, stop by the library, come home, fix supper and get ready to attend a surprise birthday party, for a friend, at my daughter's house this evening.

I will probably be back online, but just in case I don't make it - play nice while I'm gone and make all the visitor's welcome!

Preacher, make sure BH is here tonight and the donuts with nuts on them are covered tightly.

    HAGD!

Well...thought I would anyway. Been trying to learn how to use the fax program thats part of our printer software. Gotta be better than buying a fax machine. Cheaper anyway!
My sweetie went to bed at 9, gotta be up at 5:30 again. We gave BH another scrubbin so she's clean & fresh & ready to be turned loose.
Don't know if I'll be back in or not so I'll turn the lights out...BH, you can quit sniffin, you ain't gettin in the doughnuts! She had pizza with me tonite,(she eats the crust)shouldn't be hungry again already.
    Have a good nite all!!

Ugh, it isn't a good night right now. I misplaced my pre-portfolio for my imaginitive writing class, which has 95% of my work in it from the year, along with a few papers I was critiqueing or whatever you call it for three different people. It was pretty much finished and I was ready to pick out the pieces I wanted to introduce as my portfolio when it's due in a couple weeks.
I was working on it next door, but was quite positive I brought it home, but I went to get it and work in it just now and it isn't here, although everything else was sitting on the table that I had with it. So maybe it's there, but it's too late to go check. I can't imagine I wouldn't have brought it over though with everything else. It's pretty much been glued to me since I started it.
So now my stomach is a mess. What's in there is not just for this quarter, it's the core for a three class sequence, so losing it with only a few weeks left of this first sequence really isn't good. But mainly, I put my heart and soul into this. The main point of the course was to figure out what I want to do and where I want to go with my writing, and I really wanted to have that portfolio out there and looked at in order to get some professional guidance and

    and

    and

Why do I not keep paper bags in here?????!!!!!

Ok, it HAS to turn up. I'll shut up now.

Maybe I'll kidnap that furry little creature running around and see if he can sniff it out. Yeah.

    Good Morning guys . . .

I'm still coughing and sniffling, so I'm staying in yet another day. Doesn't happen often, but it always feels funny to send Ron off to church without me.

I'll sit with my coffee in the corner to not spread my germs. *cough* *cough*

Hot coffee sure feels good running down my throat though :D

    Awww Gina!

I hate it when stuff like that happens. Usually I've picked it up with something else, but I have to figure out what that was! I did that with the boys' birth certificates when we had to get their first passports for a mission trip. OH! I remember how ill I felt until I found them.

I started the actual construction of my online class. It's below if anyone wants to take a peek. I haven't gotten far, but starting is the first step.

Hi Mc..I tried to read your MSWord for Teachers, but it wanted me to save the file to my computer and I just don't do that. It wouldn't open for me to just read....sorry.

Beautiful day here, sunny and cold, no sign of snow or rain....wonderful. Makes it nice to have church at 9. It leaves the rest of the day for rest and relaxation......except I have Evening Prayer (Evening Service in Baptist terms).

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Hey Jim,

That file is a power point, it gives me the choice to open it or save it. I'll have to see if I can convert it to .html

Here is a converted file that should show up as a web page. All the neat little doodads are gone though and the address is really ODD, but I'll post it and we'll see how it goes.
