When we read the OT and see the people turning from God to false worship, to false gods, and God punishments for it, we should not be surprised what happens in our own country next. We think this recession is devistating, we haven't seen anything yet.

isn't it better to pray for better health care for our people than to pray that our military kill more of our "enemies?" I believe it is.

Did you miss the title of the thread?

Did you listen to the link?

    "Hear our cry, Obama!"

    "Deliver us, Obama!"

These people are praying to Obama !!!

But then again, perhaps you are ok with that.

Though I have yet to hear the actual audio, to say that these people are crying out to Obama to save them as Targus points out above is very disturbing. I will be checking this out. If it does NOT say what Targus is saying, then post that, but I really don't see how you can say it's much ado about nothing if that is indeed what they are saying.

    Yikes!

Were they worshiping him or imploring him to do what he can, politically, to help with the current situation we find ourselves in after the past administration?

Well, considering that the lady with the microphone is dressed in some sort of liturgical garb and that the format is "call and response" I would have to say that it is prayer.

Although it makes me sick to have to actually believe that there are people in this world who are so grossly in error.

Hear our cry, Obama! Deliver us Obama!

Erm... that is just downright spooky in text anyway. I can't wait to get home and hear this tonight.

It sure LOOKS like a prayer to me.

In the U.S. we have freedom of religion and people can pray however they wish. They just shouldn't expect me to join them if it is a prayer to someone other than the true God.

Should teachers be coercing school children to pray to Obama?

Do you actually believe that these people are praying to President Obama? If you asked them that question do you think they would refer to him as their Lord and Savior? That's ridiculous. They're calling out to the President to meet his health care objectives.

The only people I've seen that worship Obama are those here who refer to him as the messiah.

Refer to him as their Lord and Savior?

That is a Christian understanding of God.

Why do you assume that these people are Christian?

Since they appear to be praying to Obama, I would doubt that they are Christian.

So no - they probably would not say that Obama is their Lord and Savior but that does not mean that they don't believe he is some sort of god.

Calling out to their god... yup.

Right - libs that refer to Obama as the messiah probably do worship him.

You seem to be coming around to a clearer understanding of the problem here.

Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding!!!!!

    A Christian would be upset...

Anyone supporting this and saying it's OK to pray this prayer to Obama is NOT going to Heaven.. they have no idea what it means to be a Christ follower...

Oh I forgot. If they support Obama they CAN'T be Christian. Isn't that your inane belief? They refer to the profit Jeremiah. How many religions have a prophet named Jeremiah? The only two I can think of are Christianity and Judaism. You pathetic people are the only people I know who refer to Obama as the messiah. Brings to mind a question......
