Not at all, you are arguing against some people having guns for the protection of others in a certain situation based on the fact that an innocent person might get hurt...if that logic were valid, it should apply to all situations...as a blanket statement:

No good person should carry a gun, even though we know lots of bad people carry and use guns...because we would rather allow the bad people to kill whoever they are going to kill rather than open up the possibility that a good person might accidentally hurt or kill someone.

Our church is an approximately 300 member church in the St. Louis Metro area. We have quite a few members that we allow with concealed carry on our premisses. We certainly don't discourage it.

That is outright slander. I don't trust guns because I carry one, any more than I trust in jumper cables. Its a tool to use for an emergency. Do you likewise criticize people for owning jumper cables, or buying insurance?

Your kind of a ridiculous, illogical sort, aren't you? Jesus commanded us to buy a weapon. I will obey.

FYI: I am trained. I wouldn't shoot innocents. Its actually quite simple, when you actually know what you are doing.

Your contention is ridiculous, because in the situation where no one has a gun, the gunman KILLS everyone in the room anyway. So, according to your logic, its better for EVERYONE to get killed, than to allow the possibility that there might be a stray bullet that hits one person...

    Sheesh. Liberal logic. :tonofbricks:

You're trying to reason with a man who spurns reason.

Arguments are not going to convince this man- no matter how sound and valid.

He will cling tenaciously to nonsense no matter how clearly you have shown it to be nonsense.

John 2:15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables

So Jesus--God Himself in the flesh--made a weapon and drove out the money changers. But we, who are not God, presume to know better and say "no weapons in the church."

Coming from you, who has been wrong about just about everything you have posted, that's a compliment!

However, I do feel sorry for your spouse. I wonder what s/he did to deserve the likes of you.

I am simply keeping scripture in context. Apparently you do not do so. Anyone can prove anything by taking scripture out of context ... and that make it false teaching ... even if it is by you.
