In one of the interesting exchanges ACB explained how originalist interpretation can be used for issues that arise today, such a the right to privacy and the information available from digital phones today.

Just as bible study seeks to understand what was being said originally to that audience, the next step is to determine what if any timeless "principles" in that message can be applied today. She described the very same idea, looking for the timeless principles in the Constitution, that can be applied today, such as the right to privacy as applicable to digital phones.

Observation, what was actually being taught to the original audience.
Principlization - what timeless principles are applicable today
Application - applying those principles to my life.

Liberals "find" things in the Constitution that we never originally intended. They believe it is fine to amend the Constitution by judicial fiat. After all, the ends justify the means in their scheme of things.

When a translation alters the message to bend the text to man-make doctrine, the translation is liberal.
