I know that we have a lot of veteran's here at BB.

I'd like to know if there would be any interest in the possibility of opening a forum for vets.

I'm thinking of a place we could fellowship, share, and express thoughts on issues concerning veteran's......

    What do you think? [IMG]

I think it would be a great idea...also for sharing of information of concern to veterans.

Only Webmaster an begin a new forum and space doesn't allow for more, especially if they were not very active BUT you can start a thread for Veterans on any forum. [IMG]

    Hi Dianetavegia,

What we're doing is trying to see if enough interest can be generated in a veteran's forum to approach the webmaster with the idea.

"Running it up the flagpole", so to speak.....

I would love to see a forum just for vets, esp on a password protected board.

    Anybody else agree with me.

    USN2Pulpit,

    I am in King's Bay.

    TCassidy,

Submarines are the only way to go. . . unless you want to be a target.

The former Commodore there was a member of my church for about 10 years when he was stationed at Ballast Point. (SBSD) [IMG]
Yeah, well, I flew jet fighters, so, try as you might, you probably wouldn't be able to shoot me down. :D :D :D

You and I must be friendly rivals, Brother Ian...for I was a P-3 Flight Engineer for twelve years.

A P-3? You mean those left-over Lockheed Electras Lockheed couldn't sell to the airlines? And, of course, as every C-130 pilot knows, you guys have your engines on upside down! :D :D :D

Click on over to Aimoo, and you can start a free board on any subject you like, why not set up a Christian Veterens forum and see how you go?

Friendly rivalry will always exist within the various Navy communities. People really have a loyalty to their area which I think is a good thing.

    USN2Pulpit,

    Who was the Commodore?

Ryan...I was on the left coast.

TCassiday, you upscale, cosmopolitan educated folks got to fly the hot rods, while us uneducated huckleberries flew the cargo vans. [IMG]

Having said that, it was still some of the most memorable times in my navy career - and I hope we all contributed greatly to our country's security.

I what other way could we have had so much fun (meaning flight) and gotten paid for it! [IMG]

James Zalonis. He retired several years ago. He was a Mustang. Joined at 17, got his education while serving. Make Senior Chief at 11 years service. Decided he didn't want to be COB for the next 10 years so took a commission. Retired an O-6. Not bad for a country boy from North Carolina. [IMG]
