The consumer confidence numbers are out for August and the number is 84.8. This is a drop of 6.9 points from July. The August index of 84.8 is basically back to the number we had in April, which was 85.7.
July's number was 91.7 which was a drop of 6.6 points from June's number of 98.3.
This is headed in the wrong direction.
