Contradictions

    It's hard to be perfectly consistent. (Jerome will point examples in my posts). And of course, as we age some of our views may undergo some degree of modification. But some people are all over the board!

    But here I will give some examples of a certain poster who will not be identified in this OP.

    I will simply provide some quotes from this poster's keystrokes.

    7/9/13 "Yes, Agedman, my views very closely align with Calvinism."

    6/26/13 "Some of the most committed servants of Christ in my life have been Reformed Christians."


    1/17/13 "To say I am an ...Arminian is to simply misrepresent my view."

    12/4/12 "I am a one point Calvinist, two point Arminian..."

    11/12/11 "Folks, deception is the stock and trade of Calvinism."

    2/20/12 “I am a Calvinist to a limited degree... and I am an Arminian to a limited degree."

    1/24/12 "But, yes, many of the facets of Calvinism hit the mark."

    7/19/11 "I am a one point Calvinist and one point Arminian."

    4/4/11 "While I believe the Arminian view is flawed, it is far more God centered, reflecting a view that is closer to biblical truth than Calvinism"

    So I googled one of the quotes, and the first result was...you 4 years ago posting many of the same quotes and bemoaning about how the poster changes his views.

    Lol...you may need to find a new hobby. Or maybe recite that portion of the serenity prayer about accepting the things you cannot change.

    I am always consistent - well, usually.

    More seriously - some of those quotes are not just inconsistent -
    some of them are downright opposite opinions.

    Let me give this example - On the NY State road test -when you see a stop sign - you must "have cessation of all movement" (aka stop)
    Well, we had one examine, Kathy, who would fail you if you did not stop for three seconds. Another examiner, Bernie would fail you if you stopped for three seconds (to him you were impeding traffic) Now most of the examiners were inconsistent with both Bernie and Kathy. But Bernie and Kathy had totally opposite opinions.

    Well Rob, what a direct attack to the mans psyche! My question to you directly is why champion the other guy? I know why Rippon does what he does, that should be obvious to all, but you ...

    Just curious.

    Maybe I should have added some smilies to show the light hearted nature of my critique. That is my fault. :(

    But I still don't see where I am championing the "other guy."

    My intent was more to show that "not naming" someone and then posting a slew of quotes doesn't quite jive in this digital age.
