Is it ethical to try to convert muslims knowing that efforts to convert muslims will lead to violence?

Is it politically feasible to convert muslims to Christianity?

I do know that Scripture commands us.

    WWJD?
    WWPaulD?

    :godisgood:

perhaps true, but no crime either.

why's the modern church more keen to hand out Warren's Purpose-Driven Life to easy quarry instead?

We don't "convert" people. The Holy Spirit regenerates people which results in their conversion. We give people the good news.

Yes He does, but He works through us . . . and is it feasible for us to let Him work through us to convert muslims.

So the real question is, "is it suicidal to give the good news to a muslim"? or, how receptive are muslims to good news?

Jesus did say go ye into all the world so some unlucky, bible toten christian will have to take that teritory.

If you are speaking of witnessing in America, I would be ashamed that you would even suggest or ask such a question. America is not Saudia Araibia or Pakistan where one might face the death penalty for trying to convert a Muslim. You have freedom in this nation. There is no such thing as a "blasphemy law" here, where if any person defame the name of Mohammed in any way he should suffer the death penalty. You have the law and the judicial system to protect you. What have you to fear. Obey the Lord and be not afraid.

Prov. 29:25 "The fear of man brings a snare; but whoso trusts in the Lord shall be safe.

In witnessing to a Muslim, and giving him the facts about the gospel contrasted with the facts about Islam, the man was so shocked that he said "If you were to say that in my country you would suffer the death penalty." Yes, but this isn't his county. This is America/Canada. And we have the freedom of speech that you don't have in your (Islamic) nation, which you cannot use against us here.

Those who don't witness to Muslims here are cowards, and disobeying the Great Commission.
I have gone to Islamic nations and witnessed to them there, where the penalty could be severe. Obedience to the Great Commission still stands no matter what country you are in.

In light of the third sentence, the first and second sentences DO NOT COUNT! What God commands -- must be done, regardless of the "ethical" or "politically feasible" reasons humans may come out with. And "where" also does not count! (Can any point out to me a part of the earthe that is NOT included in "go into all the earth"?)

perhaps i detect an underlying assumption similar to that of the neocon politicians, who'd raise cain over Iraq's alleged WMDs but act oh-so-prudent over North Korea's blatant touting thereof.

as Prof Noam Chomsky puts it:

Hegemony or Survival: America's Quest for Global Dominance, 2003, p. 38.

how closely does our missions n evangelism thinking parallel that of the neocon politicians'?

If you are faced with possible death for your salvation (born again) or because of witnessing to a muslim (or anyone for that matter), etc. don't be scared or upset! If they kill you all they did was send you home sooner!

We should be more afraid of what will happen to the muslims if we don't give them the gospel. With God anything is possible, even a muslim getting saved.
