Jesus Christ was the ONLY Person of the Godhead Who was on the cross.

Live in a human body, die on the cross, be judged for the sins of the world including the Walmart warehouse amount of mine, die, and be resurrected.

Did the Father and Holy Spirit ever get bloodied, have pain, get tired and hungry?

Then you can't believe they are all one God instead of three. You forget that Christ Jesus was God in the flesh. God is omnipresent. The trinity can't be separate or they would then be three Gods. Christ said He and the Father are one. Explain your way around that for a separated God.

Then MB you are going to have a hard time explaining these verses to me and brethren that hold to the same belief in the trinity as I do... Who is the Son Of God delivering up the kingdom to... himself?... Read it and explain it?... Brother Glen:)

1 Corinthians 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

15:27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

Btw... You brethren that hold to a millennial reign, according to these verses his reign is over, but that's a different topic!

No, but the question is “could they”?

Could one (either) of the other persons within the Godhead assumed the role taken by the Eternal Son?

The question seems to be along the lines of creating a rock too big to lift.

God will only act according to His will.

    peace to you

Yes, if Yahweh(The Father) so willed. However, He assigned that to Jesus.

Each has a unique role, as assigned by The Father. The Father rules all, the Holy Spirit teaches man & indwells Christians, while Jesus bore the penalty for the sins of man. And what is sin? Disobedience of any of The Father's rules.

Part of Jesus' role as Savior was to become a man Himself, & partake of everything not sinful that man did.

    John 10:29
“My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

    John 14:28
“You heard that I said to you, ‘I go away, and I will come to you.' If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

    1John 3:20
in whatever our heart condemns us; for God is greater than our heart and knows all things. [hunger, pain, tiredness]

The trinity doctrine firmly declares the three person's of the Trinity are co-equal, but are different persons.
