CDC instructs hospitals to list covid as cause of death.......because why? Then they can give the media some stats to back up what they want the country to do.

And predicting a pandemic during a 4 year period is pretty easy to do. We have been getting pandemics regularly because of how connected our world is now.

Dr OZ was mentioned as being a better choice. Sometimes Trump picks the wrong people. Don't we all. Fauci said he does not care about immuntiy, wants lockdowns to continue till no new cases, see how silly that is as everyone who is cured of covid is immune and cant infect anyone else. And the way this is going there will be millions of people who have had it and survived and are immune in a month maybe. We still have no clue about how many people got over this and never were diagnosed, and Dr. Fauci does not care about that one bit, but we did not elect a Dr Fauci to run the country did we. But yeah, democrats are very happy with how things are going, as they say never let a good crisis go to waste.

Fauci has made it CLEAR that WHAT HE WANTS is to slow this down until we can develop ways to treat it and come up with a vaccine!

AS SOON as this disease started spreading across the USA people started showing up at the hospitals - THERE IS NO magic number of immune cured people BECAUSE if this disease was spreading all over to create these cured p[eople we would have known it by those ones who do not tolerate the disease being in the hospital!


Across the world this disease currently has 1,201,476 cases and 64,691 deaths @ 5.3% death rate.

Herd immunity takes about 2/3rds of the population to be effective.

To forget lockdown as you suggest , and to ignore our top experts and let this run its course to 2/3rds of the USA, 220,000,000 people @ 5% death rate, comes out to 11 million deaths in the USA in a mater of months. Ah, hell, most of them have co-morbidities anyway right?!

To choose the path you suggest is completely ignorant or insanity!

 

The USA was the 1st to ban Chinese flights & we were called racist. Canada still has those flights daily. The French went ahead with drugs that the CDC opposed!

The reason his prediction was so certain is because new infectious diseases and their spread are common things (HIV, SARS, Avian Flu, H1N1, Ebola, Zika) in our modern world with international travel and its interconnectedness and every adminstration will need to deal with pandemics. Covid19 is easily the worst one that Dr Fauci has faced in his career and it will be interesting to hear this speech again after this is all over.

I for one am very thankful for Trump's wisdom in putting someone with Dr Fauci's vast experience and history of competent leadership in pandemics in his current role on the Covid19 task force.

 

Fauci is what he is. He thought aids deaths were going to be higher than they were and the same with Ebola which he thought would be a million deaths. He knows his stuff but he is a control freak on policy as are all liberals. It is Trump who understands the private sector and was able to get their cooperation. The Dems want to put everything on a war footing. Google is tracking cell phone locations and France was the first to approve of the malaria drug. The FDA & CDC are blunt instruments run by bureaucrat lawyers. The CDC before this was working on cures for racism & Islamophobia so that reflects on Fauci as not so much in charge as just another liberal Democrat. Things would have been worse with Hillary because she is a cold-hearted liar on the take.

I think that the Kinsa map has crashed--at least I can't get it to come up. However, Bill Whittle made a fairly long video saying that the temperatures for fever had fallen over large parts of the country based upon those who had the thermometers reporting--people who spent $30 or so. It would not be about the virus but about temperatures in general. He seemed to think that social distancing was working in spite of non-compliance by inner city residents in places like Cincinnati and probably non-compliance by Muslims. If so, it would be the first good news in a long time.
