I can't believe this has gone on so long. No, the policy is not immoral, nor is it uncommon. Yes, the man stole. Not just once, but several times. It really is that simple.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. We judged the vet because he stole. We're also guilty of stealing. We've been properly chastised. Thanks, Jesus, for setting us pharisees straight.

Oh, wait; you're not Jesus. My bad.

The bottom line question is "Should that particular employee have been fired?"

    The answere is YES!

He had FOUR written counseling statments ( and probally some infomral verbal ones as well)

He broke company policy - with no desire to change his ways.

I support CB decsion - and would have no problem going there.

BTW - Him being a veteran has nothing to do with the story - other than he was taught to obey orders.

    Yes WE were.

I say everything to a mirror first to see what the Holy Spirit has to say to me. That's the essence of preaching too. You don't have time to preach everything. Most of the research and discovery is for God to just show the preacher something.

And yet another reason why folks don't want to have anything to do with this brand of Christianity. Too many feel like they can correct and judge others but when the shoe is on the other foot, the response is always this silly brand of cynicism.

As was the vet. He was wrong. I don't think Jesus likes it when we use his name to justify our sin.

Again with the mirror, eh ?

Jesus said the world will hate us because of him. To say the world hates him because of us is not biblical.

And I didn't say it hates Him. I said it hates a brand of Christianity. He's not a brand of Christianity. And the world does hate us because of Him in part because it looks at how He lived a righteous life of love, and then looks at so many of us supposedly living righteously but minus the love.

    Love makes the difference.

    Remember the Cross!!!

There is no "BRAND" of Christianity. You either are saved, or you're not.

And please. "Love" rejects theft. Stop being silly.

The world hates us because of him. Not the other way around. Stop using Jesus to justify sin.

Naaa...he just says the opposite of what anyone else says. He isn't even very creative or thoughtful. He just likes to be difficult.

That's SALVATION. There are indeed different brands of Christianity. Just ask the Catholics and the Mormons.

    Love also rejects hypocrisy.

Um I agreed with the statement. The world hates us because He loved and righteously judged. All we do is judge and always seem to be completely absent the love.

So stop using Him to try to justify your lack of love.

You are so blinded by your personal crusade against hypocritical Christians that you don't see your own contributions to the hypocrisy.

    Congratulations on derailing the thread.

I didn't mention every Christian. I mentioned Baptists. I'm smart enough to read what I wrote. Are you?

LOL. Are you saying Mormons are Christians, now ? Sure wasn't your stance during the election. Perhaps you could list the various "brands" of Christianity, and tell us how the world feels about each one, and why.

So stop being one. Don't use Jesus to justify sin.

There is no love in giving away other people's property.

Lack of love ? Ignorant statement. You have no idea what I give. Perhaps Mitch is correct You just are not very smart.

    Is that what I said?

Odd that you can remember that but can't remember correctly what I typed a few minutes ago.

Stop being one what? A hypocrisy? People are hypocrites. Don't use Jesus to justify a lack of love.

    Who said there was?

I didn't say I did know what you personally give. I don't have to be very smart to notice a lack of love. The Pharisees modeled it and it is the plague of the modern church.

The church has forgotten its first love so naturally it ain't gonna show much love for anyone else.
