Crystal Cathedral founder Rev. Robert H. Schuller has removed his son as preacher on the church's weekly "Hour of Power" syndicated TV broadcast.

Schuller said in a statement read to some 450 congregants Saturday by church president Jim Coleman that he and his son, Robert A. Schuller, "have different ideas as to the direction and the vision for this ministry.

What are your thoughts on this Rev?

His father made his son pastor? Is he still in charge? Who does the Lord consider the leader thereby bestowing the vision upon?

That the father made the son pastor is the first problem. If God did not make him the pastor, and him made the churches pastor by the church body, then he doesn't get a vision for the church from God, because he sin't the churches God appointed pastor.
Does God give a vision for the church to false tearchers?

Shadows of history repeating itself isn't it? Remember Herbert w. Armstrong and his son parting company and forming their own radio shows and church leadership.

    Cheers,

    Jim

I don't see either one of them as having a legitimate vision from God. It is one lib disputing with another.

I agree! It's just one false teacher removing another false teacher.

So, is this an "Hour of Power" play?

Most big churches with a "star" preacher are pragmatically owned by the preacher. For example, the Billy Graham industry is functionally a family business.

Maybe the son wanted to be even more "feel good and postive" than dad. "

Well that's what happens when you build your cathedral out of crystal. It cracks easily.
