    Illegal in a lot of places, including Canada. The industry itself used cardboard caskets, but they abused the system and reused those cardboard caskets and the government clamped down on them,,,(us).

    I took out a policy for cremation a few years ago which cost just under $500.00. Nothing fancy! Straight from hospital to crematorium. Any ceremonies can be held at home, in local Lion's Club or Legion halls ar even a local church...costs are minimal.

    Trouble is, many leave it to last moment and make decisions in full emotion of the loss and PAY later.
