Deconflicting the Bible

    Most of the conflicts I see within the same bible version have to do with numbers or some small thing like that. i.e. such and such a king was 8 or 18 when he began to reign or they had 1000 or 10000 horses or chariots. These types of scribal errors over the years does not change doctrine one bit and does not need to be deconflicted.

    Most of the conflicts between one bible version and another is caused by the reader. One will take an English dictionary and use it to claim that the bibles teach different things. When one studies and looks up the underlying Greek/Hebrew words and what it means, you can see that both versions are valid translations of the underlying text. These do not need to be deconflicted. The reader just needs to study more.

    An honest reading of the texts in context will take care of any seeming conflict in this case. However, people that wish to slam the Bible or a version of the Bible they don't like will perpetuate this myth so they can feel good about whatever they wish to believe or not believe.
