The freedom of speech does not extend to include defaming the prophet of Islam, the European Court of Human rights ruled Thursday.

The Strasbourg-based ECHR ruled that insulting Islamic prophet Muhammad “goes beyond the permissible limits of an objective debate” and “could stir up prejudice and put at risk religious peace.”

Europe is fast becoming a police state when you can't even say the truth that Muhammad is a child molester.

What should be seen as a specter is happening through insidious influences. Once bravely repelled hundreds of years ago, this scourge is now ignorantly welcomed with open arms. Given the large scale rejection of Jesus Christ, this might easily have been predicted, but who would listen? And quite frankly, paedophilia may not be far from legalization, making the point moot.

It probably has something to do with the decline of Christianity in Europe. This is said to have begun during and after the First World War.

In modern times though it seems that there's a an even bigger decrease of Christianity in society where at the same time you're continually introducing a very relgious group of people.

Add in the ideas of the people who think we can't "offend" anyone and it's no surprise really

But only in the sense that he would not be God, nor the Son of God, which is blasphemy from a Christian standpoint. They hold him to be a prophet, and virgin born. They also generally hold that Judas, rather than Jesus, was crucified, so dying for sins is out.
