In US, Hamas representatives meet with senior members of Democratic Party

    Ali Waked

The Palestinian news agency Maan, quoting a senior member of the Palestinian government, reported Wednesday that "ministers of the Hamas-led government recently held talks with European countries and with a delegation of the American Democratic Party.

    SNIP

The source also noted that Hamas made some achievement on the American front thanks to a meeting held with senior members of the Democratic Party.

He refused to elaborate on the meeting and where it took place, claiming that Hamas is not interested in harming the Democrats' chances to win the 2008 elections.

Why not meet with Hamas...after all, didn't groups like that want the Democrats to take over the congress?

An unnamed source claims that unnamed Democrats, and members of unnamed countries (although the continent Europe was named), met with unnamed Hamas members at an unnamed location.

Well golly, maybe it's true! Just to be on the safe side, better condemn all the Democrats cause they're all guilty by association!

That pretty well meets the requirements of "secret", doesn't it?

But your response brings another question to mind, what would you think if it proves to be true?

    Hey Wayne,

    Fine! Yourself?

Yeah, as well as of "rumor", "gossip", "smear campaign".

    I don't know, it's all rather vague, isn't it?

Unconfirmed would be the word I would choose. But, if true, the implications could be enormous.

Hamas is a known terrorist organization.

Who specifically met with whom specifically where and when specifically and what did they talk about and how do we know this? A bit more vague than merely unconfirmed.

As well as the party of the legimately, democratically elected government.

Look at the source of the information. ynetnews? Might as well be the Drudge Report or WorldNetDaily, just more cybernet tabloid. Please. It might as well have come from the propaganda ministry of the extremist right wing of the Republican party.

I don't know about that, but the Hamas was known for its integrity and charitable works while the PLA was known for its greed and corruptness. I don't know that it was a stupid decision.

They are also known for murder and mayhem.

You are not seriously going to defend an organization like Hamas, are you?

And you have proof, of course, that all of this is propaganda and WND is unreliable as a source--or is it just because it is a conservative publication that happens to have the largest readership in the world? Joseph Farah, editor of WND, is your Arab Brother in Christ, BTW.

I wasn't defending Hamas, I was pointing out that given the alternative, it may not have been "stupid" for Palestinians to vote them in.

Well if he is not a muslim arab - he cannot be trusted!

    ;)

Why is it we 'turst' muslims, and we hate our brothers in Christ. I am not saying that I agree with them, just wondering why we expect them to act SOOOOO much better than we expect muslims to behave.

Well, golly, an unnamed source with no support, talking about unnamed people!

Hey we've gone to war on less than that.

But that's the problem, isn't it?

The anonymous innuendo is pretty much SOP for the lunatic fringe.

I remember some of the resident jihadists going crazy with indignation when similar stories about the republicans were published.

    I know...

    "That's different!"

    That was a good one....

Come on, Galatian: it really hurts to lose control.

But let's not forget that Oliver North not only met with Iran, he supplied them with weapons. I wonder if the Democrats supplied the enemy with weaponry......

    Regards to you and yours,
    BiR

News is neither conservative nor progressive. If a spin of any type in placed, it is no longer news, but by definition, either commentary or propoganda.
