This is a perfect example of politics in motion.

The Dems know that we have to drill, but as long as it was a republican idea, then they feel forced to oppose it.

Now, that the economy and oil has swung against them, they now fugure that they are better off to let it go.

Please note, that the dems arent publically saying that we should drill, they are simply not going to oppose the suspension of the ban on drilling.

What a play on rhetoric that is. The Dems are saying that "we do need to drill, but while a republican is in office we will never admit it, cause they will get the credit.....but if we publically oppose drilling, and the crisis gets worse then it will look bad on us", so we will just let the ban pass and not oppose it, and that way we are not publically supporting republican ideas.

Just like Obama saying that he will withdrawl all american forces from Iraq within 16 months.....and now he sees that that would cause a world war, and is not possible, but instead of saying that Bush was right on the surge, he just says that he can do it better????? How?????

My point is that the dems know what will work economically and in the war, but that will never let Bush or any republican do it because it would give the republicans credit and hurt the dems careers.

    Thank you!

We survived the hurricane, it's the aftermath that is tough dealing with. No electricity for eleven days, and possibly another week to go, but we'll get through it. Thank God for a mild cold front when it is really needed!
