He's a high ranking Democrat, determined to impose socialism on the masses.....

What does this have to do in regards to his daughter's death. I would suspect that even a staunch republican would have compassion on one who has lost his child.

You would think so wouldn't you.

And you would think a person who claims they are Christian would have compassion also.

Simply offered a follow up to Jon-Marc's statement.....I didn't address Mr. Durbin's loss, which of course is sad...

Is it important to post of one's compassion? Does it help Mr. Durbin? I doubt he reads this....

To even ask the question above shows no understanding of compassion or of Christ's teachings on how we are to treat others. Your question confirms what most Europeans think the average Republican is like, i.e. a white mean person.

I hope you receive more understanding and compassion in your time of need than you have shown here.

It was not that you didn't show compassion but that you took this time to slander the man's politics.

determined to impose socialism on the masses

Have you no heart? Shouldn't we morn when others morn?

Praying... :praying:

I'm not approving of his politics, nor his character, or lack thereof. I just read the headlines and had compassion for his situation. I have a daughter, and losing her would cause unbelievable pain in my life.

Would you care to enlighten me? You have no idea what my wife and i are experiencing now...Were it not for my "understanding" of my Lords Grace, compassion, and long suffering.....Well in answer to your question, I do understand, fully........

OK, if that makes me "the ugly American" in your eyes, I can live with it. I don't care what the Godless Europeans think of me.

I hope you receive more understanding and compassion in your time of need than you have shown here.

Thank you for your thoughtful consideration....boy, you picked your handle well.

I'm happy that Sen. Durbin does not have to listen to his daughter be called the names he called men & women who have died serving in our armed forces.

Could I have a do-over? I'd like to try...
OK the statement that I thought needed an answer was:
I've never heard of Dick Durbin.
Now my response:
He's a long time Senator from the great state of Illinois, who has just lost his daughter to heart difficulties.....I'm so sorry for his and his wife's loss.

Now, I certainly feel much better, having shared my heart felt emotions, knowing that Sen Durbin too, has been relieved of some of his heartache.....

My prayers go out for what you and your family are experiencing. As a brother in Christ, I pray that the Lord will comfort you and would use this to strengthen your faith in His provision.

Thanks be to God that we have a hope that will overcome anything we face in this present world and will present us holy and blameless in the world to come!
