“Where’s Jackie?? I guess she isn’t here” At a White House event on hunger in America, looking around the audience for “Jackie”.

POTUS was referring Congresswoman Jackie Walorski who died in a automobile accident last month.

Spokesperson says he wasn’t confused but that Jackie was at “the top of his mind”, which doesn’t explain why POTUS expected to see a deceased woman in the audience.

Does anyone believe Pres Biden is mentally capable of handling the duties of POTUS?

    comments?

    peace to you

I don't think that anyone who is at or past or would reach 80 years of age during their term in office should be eligible to run for president or U.S. representative or U.S. Senator. I would like to see the U.S. Constitution amended to make that so. The two parties of the Duopoly have turned the governance of the United States government into a gerontocracy.

    END THE GERONTOCRACY!!!!

The man is will be 80 years old in a few weeks; I don't think intelligence is the issue. I think that no one 80 years old or would turn 80 years old during their term in office should be president. I don't care who they are, or how popular they are or aren't, or how mentally acute they may or may not sound at any particular moment.

I think most folks who follow politics, know Mr. Biden is suffering from the effects of decline. Our problem is our Vice President seems no better. When it was time for Mr. Nixon to go, first they got rid of the elected VP (Agnew) and replaced him with someone able to handle the office - Mr. Ford. And not to put too fine a point on it, but who are the back-ups? Beto of Texas, or the Transportation secretary, or how about the governor of California?

An interesting assessment. Do you expect Harris to be replaced after the mid-terms in anticipation of Biden stepping down/removed by 25th amendment?

    peace to you

I see it as a possible outcome, but make no prediction.

Age discrimination is wrong, if a person can do the job, they should be considered as a viable candidate.
Yes, Mr. Reagan lost it the last couple of years, but that was probably related to being shot and almost killed. They managed his decline by making Senator Baker his chief of staff.
We have the 25th Amendment to cover when any President, no matter his or her age, becomes incapacitated.

Just curious. Do you also want to the minimum age to serve in the House and the Senate and the presidency removed?

No, I am in full support of the constitution. If individuals wish to rule out voting for the aged due to the risk of incompetence, they are free to do so. However, for most of us, we will vote for the person who we think best for the country, even if old.

Obviously, if the minimum age requirement was lowered or removed, it could only be accomplished by amending the U.S. Constitution. It couldn't be done extra-constitutionally.

Term limits would be nice. But the pollies don't want to let go of power.

Hmm. Does that official interpretation insinuate he was contemplating whether she was in purgatory or heaven or hell? Or could her ghost still be roaming the earth?

I think it demonstrates his mind is going. He saw her name on the teleprompter, forgot she died, and wanted to point her out for working on the bill.

    peace to you

Yep, his puppet mind is filled with addle-ation. This has long been obvious. Yet millions voted for him.
