While in the USN, I saw thermite bombs tested. Yes, they make a decent fire, bit not nearly as hot or long-lasting as conventional napalm. This was demonstrated in the fire-bombings of Japanese cities late in WW2. When Gen. LeMay ran outta napalm bombs, he used thermite bombs, which weren't nearly as effective as the napalm.

The fuel loads & the impacts of the planes into the WTC bldgs. was sufficient to have destroyed them.

Tread light with the Thermite “evidence”.
Thermite is made from Iron and Aluminum, so it could be natural residue from steel framework of the building and an aluminum aircraft hitting it and exploding.

There was once much ado about molten metal pouring from a spout and the melting point of steel ... but AC units have lots of copper coils that melt at a much lower temperature than steel.

An interesting fact (my structures professor helped design the WTC), the buildings were designed to survive an impact by any plane in existence at the time they were designed, and were still more than strong enough to survive the impact of the planes that crashed into them. The 747 had more fuel for a longer range than any plane they had imagined might exist in the future. The fire protection on the steel structure is what failed. Then the steel heated, lost strength and was unable to support the floors above it.

    You saw the result.

Yet, in spite of the facts:
Some conspiracy theories contend that the collapse of the World Trade Center was not solely caused by the airliner crash damage that occurred as part of the September 11 attacks, and the resulting fire damage, but by explosives installed in the buildings in advance.[1] Controlled demolition theories make up a major component of 9/11 conspiracy theories.

Yes. This is reinforced if you watch regular controlled demolitions of other large multi-storied buildings and compare them to the Towers.

And please tell me how many multi-storied steel structured buildings have fallen as a result of fire.

Now, now. We all know jet fuel don't burn and those aluminum planes are so fragile they just crumple up on the surface of the building.

[IMG] The original cover of The Coup's upcoming album, Party Music, will be replaced with a new design, the group's label said. The cover for the upcoming CD from a popular hip-hop group portrays an eerily familiar sight. Against a backdrop of morning skies, the towers of the World Trade Center stand engulfed in flame from the impact of twin explosions. Clouds of smoke spew from the upper stories, all but obscuring the tip of what was once the epicenter of the New York City skyline.

If it weren't for the super-imposed images of the Oakland, California, hip-hop duo known as The Coup, the scene could pass for a remarkably precise replica of the horrific tragedy that befell New York City on Tuesday morning.

The cover design predates Tuesday's twin attacks on the World Trade Center by months.

Have you really spent any time looking at sites that suspect the gov story?

All that is all hogwash, right?

The only bad guys are outside of the motherland.

    Jet fuel burn temperature:
    Max adiabatic burn temperature2,500 K (2,230 °C) (4,040 °F) open air burn temperature: 1,030 °C (1,890 °F)

    Steel melts
Steel often melts at around 1370 degrees C (2500°F).

Tell it to someone who does not weld everyday. Temp Where steel melts and where steel begins to rapidly lose strength is vastly different. Steel bends, even under nothing but its own weight, long before it melts. It starts to glow at about 900f. When it glows, it's weak.

Why on earth would anyone crash a plane into a building already wired with explosives to be demolished?

THINK ABOUT THE IDIOCY THAT YOU ARE PROPOSING!

Just demo the building from a lower floor without warning and you would have killed more people.

As a steelworker with 43 years' seniority in a melt shop & continuous caster, I can vouch for the accuracy of your post. Steel melts at about 2600 degrees F. Ordinarily, it runs thru the straighteners on our caster at about 1800 degrees, with the center of the billets still about 2500 degrees. I can easily make a large dent in such a 6"x6" billet with an ordinary ball peen hammer.

If we have an accident on the caster, the straightener can pull a bar out & bend it straight if it's barely red-hot. And these are at least 4"x4" bars.

And steel loses half its strength at just 600 degrees. Jet fuel burns at about 1200 degrees, & while it's impossible for it to have heated the I beams to that temp, it certainly weakened them after they were already weakened by the planes' impacts. Pkus, some cpncrete, broken & weakened by the impacts fell, likely buckling some if the steel, & starting a chain reaction as the tops of the bldgs. collapsed at the impact sites.

Reminds me of the conspiracy theories about JFK,s shooting.

The World Trade Center had very few I beams. The structure was a 3D space frame (like a truss in 3 dimensions) made of hollow tubes. That made the structure lighter and more rigid while allowing large open spaces. Most of the I beams were in the basement for the parking decks.

I have. With the first round of Conspiracy Theories.

What demolition that you ever saw took hours of burning before it fell? That is classic structural failure due to thermal weakening of steel structures and the REASON that buildings require fire proofing (it delays structural failure for 1 to 4 hours based on the fire rating to allow time to evacuate and for Firemen to control the fire if it can be controlled).

Good. Then what airplane hit Building 7?

What seismic loading was Building 7 designed for?

I only studied the two original Twin Towers as part of my Structures Classes at NJIT. Fascinating solution to a unique design problem.
