So they need mercy because they are sinners right ? Like the publican Lk 18:13

And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

Jesus seemed to do the Old Sovereign bypass of the bureaucracy the disciples put up keeping the little children from Him.

Told the disciples flat out that the Kingdom of Heaven actually belongs to these little ones.
Jesus wasn’t just referring to those children at that particular time, Jesus words tend to be for all time.

If we would take bullet for any infant or child to save them, imagine how much Jesus would do.

Jesus covered for the little ones by the power of His Word, somehow He must have covered them with His Blood.

Mark 10:14-15, ". . . But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Allow the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. . . ."

Compare and note, John 3:4, ". . . Nicodemus saith unto Him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? . . ."

    Yes.
Not only do I believe that babies NEED to be redeemed, I believe that babies ARE redeemed.

All babies without exception? Probably not, but scripture is silent on such details. Some babies from “every nation, tribe, tongue and people”? Probably. I see no reason why God would discriminate against babies “for His glory”, so the multitude of Revelation probably includes them, too.

Sociopaths are made by their circumstances, but Psychopaths are BORN that way, so “baby” does not automatically equate with “innocent” or “good” … they are born fallen, too.

So do you believe they will spend eternity as babies or made into adults ?

It is a matter of 100% speculation, so what I believe matters not one iota. God is playing that particular card close to the vest.

As long as we are offering our WAGs:
I believe that babies that were aborted are presented to women that were never able to have children to raise in heaven … part of God’s Justice balancing a scale to the benefit of TWO souls and to His greater glory. Those denied the shadow in life are granted a more perfect reality in heaven.

I think we agree, I believe both of the above are speaking of being born from above, of spirit whereas the children of the OP are of flesh who die as children of flesh.

Now consider how Christ died, see 1 Peter 3:18 and Acts 2:31, Rom 1:4 extended to us, Luke 20:35,36.

Only an omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent person could judge whether anyone would have rejected or accepted His Mercy, given the opportunity.

You requested wild speculation; I was happy to deliver.

I have similarly unfounded views on a lot of topics. People often get their panties in a bunch over whether or not they will recognize their spouse in heaven and remember each other … I have a great WILD SPECULATION on that called “Thanksgiving vs Supper: The God of more, not less.” :Cool
