Do reformed baptists see themeselves as being Primarily Baptist or Reformed?

Such an move does not only come from those in the position you describe. Some simply repudiate so many theologies and positions that they will be looking for other winds of doctrine and may be tossed about by them -- Eph. 4:14.

One isn't saved within orthodox camps due to a precise razor sharp theological position, nor does having a sold theological base prove salvation. It all goes back to the 5 Solas, and they all point to the fact it is only through Christ -- Acts 15:11.

have noticed that Reformed proper bethren usually see ONLY Reformed theology as being othodox, anything else as hetrodox!

also, the bethren tend to vey exclusive on what a real calvinist is, as someone like me would see one holding to DoG as being one, as do see there are strictly reformed calvinists, and those such as a Dr MacArthur, or those teaching at schools such as DTS!

why would that be though? isn't baptist better on a bilical basis than our presby bethren though?

I am a baptist, but the baptist world is a mess. Don't get me wrong, it has strengths that Presbys do not have. But it also has some severe weaknesses too. Among those is chaos.

Baptist diversity is both her greatest strength and greatest weakness. It would be better if she could maintain her evangelistic fervor while becoming a great deal more monolithic on doctrinal and philosophical matters.

I would agree with that Rick but dont underscore the liberty portion of this whole ball of wax.....to my way of thinking, that Liberty element makes being a baptist tolerable. With that said, I dislike sitting in churches that Id describe "Blended Churches" so Baptists would have to also define their stances on Salvation ...... and for me it has to be Salvation via Grace (DoG).

we baptists are a diverse lot indeed, as we have free will grace churches, arms, to stauch reformed, Cals, to even "full gospel Baptists!"

If you do not like insults, then do not start them in the first place, oh two faced one.
You began your insults with post number 38 as anyone can plainly see.

All you have shown yourself able to do is looking up archives. It does not pertain to the present situation.

Gentlemen please! I beg you both to remember that we are to love one another. This petty bickering does nothing to display your testimony that you are new men with the heart of Jesus

And what does the Lord require of us

To act justly. To love mercy. To walk humbly with your God.

ATTENTION!!!

If you are going to preach to everybody on BB about our testimonies and how fussing hurts them before the lost- be sure you are not cussing and ranting and raving on here on a regular basis yourself, please.
