if the results of using these 5000 items is the product we see today then the KJV has my approval. why is it my approving of this is attacked so often?
Truth can be attacked and will be found standing. While lies will fall under the same stress. A house built on the sand will fail when water comes and the ground moves.

The truth is not subject to your subjective approval but the standard of truth. Your subjective truth is found wanting and has not stood.

It stands where you are constantly shifting from version to version.

What verses? That's outrageously untrue.

You're serious?
Have you spent any time reading KJVO material?

Homework: Compare Isaiah 7:14 in the KJV to the RSV, look at the notes in most bibles other than KJV in the last chapter of Mark, and then get back to me.

Have you compared any of them to the Hebrew and Greek texts?

Could you explain? Versions are translations. Why use a translation when you do not need one?
Because everyone isn't a Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic student, and even if we all were, then we would remain subject to our teachers who might not even know God.

I'll just have to stick with what I have found to be accurate.

So now you may start attacking the KJV translators but don't forget, God used a murderer to give us five books, an adulterer to give us many Psalms, and some other deviants to also give us inspired words from the mind of God.:godisgood:

How did you "find: this info? Do you read greek and have you read any greek manuscripts to compare?

yOU'RE SUPERSEDING THE TRUTH HERE. I have never said anything for you to say I am promoting this.

I will stand on this that the KJV has proven superior in may fashions over whatever other versions that are available.

I've done only a little research comparing the versions, the KJV is best.

I have not ever said it is a christian doctrine, you insist I have, you're either lying or just playing the devil's advocate, again.

Show me a passage in another version that you THINK is better than what we find in the KJV. I iwll then show you why your opinion is either lacking or unfounded. You will then deny the references I provide, but that is dishonest on your side.

I have always admired a preacher that can expand on the KJV in minute detail and make a doctrinal application that fits the interpretation. When a preacher starts to say things like "I like the way _____ version says it better" all he is trying to do is correct the KJV.

I ACCEPT OTHER VERSIONSD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nope and Nope. I didn't find the "info" you are asking for, i was given it to me.

I dont need to read any Greek manuscripts and then depend on the ones who translate it with their opinion.

I know how to use the Strong's concordance fairly good. it has been widely accepted except when some one tries to correct it.

i have used the KJV for many years and done some comparisons to the versions which comes from what some call the Majorioty texts. The KJV is just better for me. I can say it is then better for others.

You dont have to agree with me, but if you are a Christian you do have to accept my right to choose what I have known to be best.

If you want to make some comparisons then why not get started?

I can show you where the English maintains the meaning while you will try to show me where the Greek doesn't.

This is an endless rabbit hole, because ultimately it's an issue of trust.

If you say, "I don't need an English Translation -- I have the original languages!"

Good for you -- But - How are you sure the Greek or Hebrew text you're reading is correct? After all, they were compiled by some group of scholars, as there is no museum with The Original Text within.

So we're back to trust. If you say only the KJV is trustworthy, then goodbye Puritans, David Brainerd, Jonathan Edwards, and a host of others who used the Geneva Bible. You're also rejecting the work of any scholars since 1611.

Can any of the KJVO folks name at least three scholars on the KJV translation commitee (without looking it up!) and provide some background on each?

I did some looking back on the guy named "Salamander" and looked at some of his thinking here. I have to agree that the harmony found in the KJV is enough to be as settled on the issue and without having to search forever like a termite in a yo-yo for a relaible version to live by!

He persisted in calling the Bible the "KJB", whatever!
