    What did Jesus say?

    Mat 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
    44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
    45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
    46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
    47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
    48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

    Jesus commands us to love those that hate us and despitefully use us. He calls this being "perfect" as our heavenly Father is "perfect".

    So yes, God loves all men.

    Shame on anyone who says otherwise.

    He told Jeremiah He loved him with an everlasting love, and therefore by my lovingkindness drawn you(Jer. 31:3). Jesus stated He was the Shepherd, and the Shepherd would give His life for the sheep(John 10:11). In John 17, Jesus stated He prayed not for the world but those He gave Him. And not them only, but those who would believe through their words(John 17:9-20). Then there's Romans 8:28-39, Ezekiel 34, Ephesians 1, John 6...

    Look at Luke 15 also. The sheep...He went and found him and carried him and placed him in the fold.

    It is an intimate relationship the Groom has with His bride...

    I love all women, but I love my wife deeper and differently than them. Same with Jesus and His bride, the church, which He gave His life for.

    I see. I agree that God looks on His children with a different love. It is, after all, those who believe who have the right to be called children of God. He is our Father in a way that He is not to the lost.

    I wasn’t sure how to take the initial comment. It could mean that He loved us more so He saved us or He saved us and He loves us as He loves His Son. The symbolism of marriage is a wonderful picture throughout Scripture. Anyway, thanks for clarifying for me - I'm one of those who often needs clarification :( .

    You're welcome. Christ is the Bridegroom, His elect is His bride. He gave His life for her. He didn't die for those who aren't Hid bride, the church.

    If my nieces and nephews were spending the night and my house caught fire, I would give my life equally for each and every child in the house to save them. This in no way implies I love my nieces and nephews more or even equal to my own children.

    God's love for us isn't what saves us. Our acceptance of His love is what saves us. God doesn't force us. He provides the way and we follow if we choose to. God is not willing that any soul should perish. Yes! He loves everyone equally and in the same manor we are all related. Denying God does not prevent us as brothers and accepting God does not in itself make us brothers. In either sense we are brothers. Just like in any family where some love and some are rebellious but it is still a family. Those who enter hell had the same choice as those who enter heaven.
