Mary is Immaculate, she had to be to conceive Jesus without stain of sin.

Your understanding of Scripture is shallow and stunted.

    Mary was ever virgin.

    No, it’s the Truth.

What’s unforgivable is obstinately holding to error when you have been told the truth.

I wasn’t quoting you as such but was being rhetorical and you know it.

No where in scripture does it claim Mary was sinless or had to be sinless to conceive and give birth to Jesus. That is made up Catholic fiction that takes the focus off Jesus (Who is the ONLY sinless person born of woman)

Scripture very clearly states Mary gave birth to at least 6 children after giving birth to Jesus. She was NOT “ever virgin” That is made up Catholic fiction.

Just because you claim something is true, doesn’t make it true. I compare what you say to God’s Holy Word and have found your statements full of falsehoods.

Please explain to me why your claim that Mary is the “spouse of the Holy Spirit” does not make Mary an adulteress since was married to Joseph? That is simply more made up Catholic fiction.

BTW, your Pope claiming God blesses same s:x couples is shameful and gives the enemies of God great occasion to blaspheme His name.

I understand why you don’t want to talk about your Pope’s outrageous statement and would rather regurgitate Catholic doctrine on Mary, but I have to say, it’s all shameful.

    peace to you

It’s taught in Catholic Catechism and so they won’t dispute the brainwashing process that is the “One True Catholic & Apostolic Church.” In other words, you are attempting to remove a central pillar of their belief system… futile!

Further and perhaps something to think on, MLJ suggested that the RCC has always attempted to supplant the responsibilities of the Holy Spirit by putting Mary into the HS’s roll. Wether it’s done intentionally only the Princes of the Church could answer… but nothing they do surprises me.:Cautious

I appreciate your input from the perspective of having been part of the RCC at one time.

I do understand I can never convince him, but I am hopeful that God Holy Spirit will convict him of the truth of his error.

Hope springs eternal!!! And all that

    peace to you

The best way to Jesus is through Mary, Jesus is flesh of her sinless flesh, from conception she knew Him and worshipped Him.
There is no closer or more faithful and obedient disciple of Christ, Daughter of The Father replacing Eve after her disobedience, Spouse of The Holy Spirit, so unified with The Holy Spirit The Word became Flesh in her womb.

No, Mary is The Ark of The New Covenant a totally dedicated sacred vessel of God, The first Ark was a prefigurement of Mary, a sacred vessel that could contain no impurity, a Throne and sanctuary dedicated to God Alone.

Your understanding of Scripture is wrong, so when you encounter the truth, the truth looks wrong to you.

Mary was a dedicated Virgin, she was only ever going to be uniquely united to God, Joseph and Mary were in a celibate marriage as a result.

“ Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.“ Isaiah 7:14

God’s Sign is one of contradiction, a virgin conceiving and bearing a son. Mary’s virginity stands as God’s permanent Sign of Jesus Divinity. Mary remained Virgin as God’s Sign to all.

The divorced and remarried can each also receive a blessing, it doesn’t legitimise there unions.

You seem desperate to throw poo, but take a look at your hands after.

Can’t say that I have, no.

You should stop reading Protestant commentaries and start reading more Catholic ones for the true understanding of Scripture.

And you should stop telling people what to do. Frankly this RC is the one true religion thing( stuff I’ve heard forever) comes off as arrogant and wrong minded, even Pharisee like. Not a good look.

    BTW, straight from the Vatican

The Vatican has declared that gender-affirming surgeries and surrogacy are grave violations of human dignity. A new document from the doctrine office puts them on a par with abortion and euthanasia as practices that violate God’s plan for human life. In its most eagerly anticipated section, the Vatican flat-out rejected “gender theory” or the idea that one’s gender can be changed.

Looks like a response to all the blowback from the “priests can bless same s:x couples” controversy.

I haven’t talked about “ one true religion “. It would be nice if every denomination was true, but goes against the nature of Truth.

The Truth is the first casualty of Bible alone theology, “what do the words mean to me “ turns the scriptures from an objective experience into a subjective experience.
So people saturated in the subjective understanding of scripture will of cause find the objective understanding of scripture wrong minded and arrogant. The relativist finds the absolute repulsive in its immovablity, the relativist is disgusted that the absolute won’t join him in his compromise and capitulation, something he did long ago.

Even the founders of Bible alone theology have been rejected in these discussions, which shows the changeable and subjective nature of Bible alone theology.

The Bible itself doesn’t teach bible alone, from that one error a whole brood of subjectively nursed errors have emerged.

Bible alone theology was a coup against the Truth, and human opinion was crowned in its place.

Luther who thought he was guided by The Holy Spirit to interpret scripture found himself contradicted by Calvin who thought he was guided by The Holy Spirit to interpret scripture conflictedly again and so on.
As time went on, the objective interpretation of scripture was left further and further behind, till today the ancient objective understanding of scripture looks totally alien to the subjective interpreter of scripture.

So today many people think they follow the scripture, but what they are really following is a long line of subjective and erroneous private interpretations of scripture, of which they are the distant tail end. Almost as alienated from their Bible alone founders as they are from the objective and ancient Apostolic understanding of scripture.

You completely miss the point of “scripture alone” theology.

As long as the focus is on scripture alone we can discuss the meaning in context. People can have different views and “work out our salvation in fear and trembling” allowing research into biblical languages to guide our understanding.

What the RCC church has done throughout history is say “believe what we say or we will kill you”.

    This includes….

    1. RCC church invents purgatory and demands followers to give money to the church to lessen the suffering of loved ones who have died.

    2. RCC tells followers “trust us”, you don’t need to understand what the Bible says, just do what we say

    3. RCC protects pedos, moving offending priests from parish to parish, guarteeing new victims and threatens families if they reveal the truth

    4. RCC declares Pope infallible

    5. RCC declares Mary co-redemptor with Jesus.

A many, many, many other beliefs and practices that contradict God’s Word.

Additionally, your Pope’s statement that priest can bless same s:x couples and just another in a long line of shameful statements that give the enemies of God great occasion to blaspheme His name

    peace to you

Christianity began by the Spoken and preached Word of God by the power of The Holy Spirit, only later was some of it written down.

People trying to recreate Christianity from only what is written alone are missing a vast part of Christianity.

‘ Bible alone “ is false and is nowhere taught in the Bible.

Besides Bible aloners ignore the Bible anyway.

They ignore Paul who says “ hold to the traditions we taught you either by word of mouth or by letter “

Scripture even says that the church is the pillar and foundation of the truth, they ignore that as well.

They ignore all the conflicted interpretations of scripture and doctrines of other Bible alone denominations, all of whom say they are guided by The Holy Spirit to interpret scripture correctly.

There is not an ounce of introspection to just stop and say, ‘ There is something massively wrong here ‘.

The Holy Spirit is The Spirit of Truth, He is not going to teach conflicting and even opposing interpretations and doctrines to different groups.

If Luther was right and The Holy Spirit was behind the new Bible alone idea, Protestantism would be completely United.
All Protestantism would be Lutheran and everyone would interpret scripture exactly as Luther did, because Luther was inspired by The Holy Spirit.

You will know doctrine by its fruit, and the fruit of sola scriptura is chaos and division, not truth.

All of these are human founded traditions of men all interpreting what they want from scripture.

The Ancient Apostolic and Catholic Church teaches one and the same faith from the beginning however.

In the “Ancient and Apostolic” church, all the documents were written in Kone Greek.

About 350 years later, Jerome translated into Latin.

When the reformers obtained Kone Greek copies of biblical documents from the Eastern Orthodox priests fleeing Islam, they compared it to what the RCC was teaching in Latin and said “there is something massively wrong here”!!

They were correct. The RCC has always distorted biblical Christianity in order to obtain political power and control people

Your Pope should be ashamed of his statement that priests can bless same s:x couples.

    peace to you
