Well, other than diet, I am good on this - 4 out of 5. :)

“After crunching the numbers, Dhana and his colleagues found that individuals with a score of 4 or 5 — meaning they pursued four or five healthy behaviors over the period studied — were 60 percent less likely to develop Alzheimer’s compared with participants who scored 0 or 1. The results did not vary by race or gender, Dhana said.”

I'm afraid you'll have to post those five things. The link won't let me read. It says I have ran out of my free opportunities.

FIVE LIFESTYLE PRACTICES FOR HEALTHY LIVING

1. Eating healthy,
2. Exercising regularly,
3. Refrain from smoking,
4. Limit or refrain from alcohol
5. Engage in cognitive stimulation activities

I do so like to eat, perhaps a bit more than I should.

I exercise regularly, ...at least two to three times a year. (If God knows the hairs on our head he also knows the number of heart beats each of us has. I’m determined not to use them up too quickly)

I don’t smoke, rarely drink...

And my wife won’t let me read more books than I already do.

It's too late for me. How about info on how young people can prevent their minds from closing so I don't have to talk to myself all the time?

I'm a vegetarian now but have only been one for 15 years... Vegan?... No way... But I'm a fat one!... I learned to adopt because I married a Vegetarian... We still eat, eggs, cheese and fried veggies and plant based meat and have a salad once or twice a week... I also use to smoke but that was 40 years ago... Alcohol?... Never was much of a drinker and haven't had a beer since I married my second wife... Never did any drugs, except the ones that the Dr. prescribes... I love to read books and a few online ones too... We just joined a gym and have been there twice.

Thank you for that information Ken, it means a lot to me... My Dad died of Dementia at the age of 75, my Grandfather who I never knew, died of Senility at the age of 74... I'm now 73 but breakthroughs have been made, in heading off the problem and addressing what one must do who may become its victim... All I need to address in Robs list is 1 and 2 and then leave it in the hands of God... Will I be given anther 15 years, like Hezekiah?... Only God knows the answer to that!... Brother Glen:)

You’re welcome. I will be 64 in November and with modern medicine extending our lifespans we all need to do what we can to stay sound in mind and body and, of course more importantly, sound in the Spirit.

"Don't drink coffee". Then 1 year later they say it's okay to drink coffee. I live as I live and eat and drink what I want and If I get Alzheimers so be it. If we did everything these know it all's said, there wouldn't be much we could eat or drink.

I recall that about 1972 the press said to stop drinking coffee because it caused high blood pressure. So we have about 50 years or more of that. It turns out that caffeine is one of the 3 basic food groups--the other 2 being chocolate and nicotine. ;)
