    no, his picture of a pig flying. It's good that you find agreement. It was just funny how he presented it.

    no, it demands abstinence... but that is another thread that alcohol proponents will not hear anyway.

    Are there those who promote alcohol as okay for Christians to consume, that don't consume it themselves?

    I'm sure there are. Maybe health reasons, tolerance, etc.

    I must not be reading the right Bible...

    Mine says God is not a respector of persons.

    He is not going to tell one Christian it is ok to drink alcohol and another it is forbidden to drink alcohol.

    God's Word says a double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Since you say God allows some to drink that poison and others He doesn't, He must be double minded and thus unstable Himself.

    We know your view of this already. We disagree on it. Let it go. I'm not about to be drawn into an alcohol thread.

    I'll raise my hand on that one. Since we're in ministry, we've decided as a church, that all those in ministry are best serving our congregation in abstinence. We have many who are recovering alcoholics and if we cause any of them to stumble, then that would be wrong. However, as much as SFIC thinks otherwise, Scripture does not forbid the consumation of alcohol and so we will not either. However, we DO encourage everyone to pray about it and seek what God wishes for them personally. Some in the congregation drink. Others don't. That's between them and God.

    Sorry, Bro W, God's given me the spiritual gift of obscure humor.

    But since God Himself has a sense of humor, He hasn't given anybody the gift of interpreting my gift.

    Anyhow, back to the beer fight...

    Please don't let your obsession with non-alcohol spill over in this thread.

    There are good Christians on both sides...

    (edited to say that I meant this as a pun... you know, spilt wine... it is so hard to get it out of the carpet)

    My $00.02...

    I think judging has to do with one having to make a decision or “judge” if an action is right or wrong. This is different from seeing one in direct or obvious violation to the Word of God. But keep in mind there is a right way to deal with these matters;

    Gal 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
