I have a problem with early voting therefore I don't early vote.

You will put your faith that a write-in 3rd party vote will be counted (for something), believe it to have value and have no problem with that, but you won’t put your faith in an early vote being counted accurately. Interesting.

Too many things can happen during early voting and therefore some may regret their vote.
If there is early voting - than no sooner than the Friday before Election day.

Interesting that you care so much about my voting philosophy.
Let me give you some more to think about since you find my voting so interesting: I don't care if my write in is counted, it is a matter of conscience for me to not give my vote to either Trump or Clinton.

In just a little over 3 days this election will be over and my conscience and principles will be intact. The Gospel will still be the only hope to change this country and I will still just be a housewife in little town AZ. And I think that is what you find the most interesting is that you have not been able to change my stance that that the Gospel is the only hope of this nation or my commitment to submit to my husband.

Do they let men accompany wives into polling booths to guide them as they vote, or do you have to memorize all his ballot choices beforehand?
Actually to answer your unspoken question, we looked at all the candidates including 3rd party and discussed who we thought best matched our principles and came to an agreement on Castle.

Okay, enough is enough. I am going to start deleting childish posts. This is not a sand box where the kindergarteners fight over who gets to play with the shovel. This is the Baptist Board, a forum for ADULTS to discuss issues like adults.

If you don't care whether or not it counted then why are you concerned about the fraud? That is what I find interesting - about "your" thinking.

...it is a matter of conscience for me to not give my vote to either Trump or Clinton.

Is your conscience not just as clear if you just sit home and skip the ritual of voting for nothing of value and that you don't care whether or not it is counting (sometimes)?

And I think that is what you find the most interesting is that you have not been able to change my stance that that the Gospel is the only hope of this nation or my commitment to submit to my husband.

That is merely a strawman. Which means it is not position to change your hope on the Gospel or ask you not to submit to your husband and never has been.

My argument is and always has been about your neglect to make a real difference with the power of your vote (for anything of value and hope of change in this country, as if there is none in this election) and NOW (your, not your husbands) thinking in which I referred to as "interesting" concerning "your" comparison of fraud and "your" vote being counted - your vote has value or it doesn't..."you" seem to want to it both ways.

BTW, I haven't been debating your husband so to bring up that I am asking you to go against him every time you have no reasonable answer is kind of rather a cheap shot, meaning especially if that "strawman" is becoming an issue here. Sorry if he is offended and wants to claim the same, but if he doesn't like you debating your own thoughts and is sensitive about someone contradicting his thoughts coming through you then, well, not much I can do about that...

Since I will not vote for Trump or Clinton I'm not going to allow the Dems time to change my vote to Clinton. I would think that would be a fairly simple idea to grasp especially since your guy has made such a big deal about fraud.

You'll have to forgive me if I don't think my personal .000001% of a vote here in AZ is a lot of real power, especially when compared to the Gospel.

The fact that you only think the top of the ticket matters is part of the problem that has lead to our current state of politics. There are down ballot races that I will be voting in, and also local issue to vote on as well. Since Castle is not going to be president, why should I worry about it counting? The only thing that I care about on that issue is letting the 2 parties know that I am done with their dulopoply.

As far as real power of my vote, I have not voted for the winner of the Whitehouse since I was 22 years old, so telling me my vote only matters if it goes toward a winner means that for the last 2 presidential elections Republican votes didn't matter.

But what does matter is conviction and consistency. That had always been my problem with this election is the lack of consistency of Christians. In the 90s when they were attacking Clinton with the matra "chracter matters." It is not lost on the lost world that the tune has changed now that it us a guy with an R after has name that had serious chracter issues. Which means the testimony of the church is damaged and making a real difference with the Gospel is that much harder. Gaining political power at the expense of Christain witness is a net loss no matter how you slice it.

My husband doesn't care if people debate me. He is well aware of my ability to handle my self and to have my own opinions. After all he is my favorite sparing partner. Believe it or not we debates the pros and cons of 3rd party voting before this election since he has always voted 3rd party. What changed for me was the fact GOP nominated a NY liberal who I could not/ will not vote for. So instead of quietly voting 3rd party to honor my husband I staked out #NEVERTRUMP territory to make my stand. I am much more vocal about it as I have always been more of the political junky.

I threw out the issue of Eph 5 to see how it would be received and let just say the mocking of that idea while not surprising is enlightening. Although given how different this election would be if only men could vote vs if only women could vote I'm surprised that your side is not more for it. But that comes back to the consistency issue which will always be the #1 problem with Trump and his supporters.

So there is your answer since again you find my opinions so interesting.

Well, “interesting” might be a synonym for “messed up” so I wouldn’t flatter myself if I were you. ;) – you’ve read me enough to know I like to joke around…

Really, I still think you’re trying to have it both ways and your logic fails which is what can be an interesting challenge for me to try to point out and pin you down on. I see debate as a philosophical wrestling match by which to improve on your argument skills, but aside from all the above I take offense to and will not tolerate those in authority making judgments and personal accusations at their whim against me and my debating practices while they’re not willing to explain these “judgments” because I find those types of actions often rooted to their personality complexes rather than my or other’s “faults” – and that if they are going to make public accusations they should publically explain them in hope of improving the decorum here or at a minimum have the courage to explain name-calling accusations privately. Personally, I work pretty hard to maintain a good and Christian practice of debate and think I understand these principles well enough to be treated with respect. This (authority attitude and censorship) is why I and several others stopped debating in the C&A forum here a few years ago.

Anyway, I’m glad the elections are about over as I believe these elections are the most important in my lifetime and although the whole situation stresses me I really believe there are enough comparable difference between the two candidates for a Christian to make a wise decision for maintaining some of your/our Christian values and we shouldn’t throw that opportunity away.

I think I’ll move on and just (anxiously) wait for the conclusion. I’ve already voted for Trump for the reasons I already stated, but if it turns out otherwise and things go from bad to way worse because of it nothing will change either way about my belief in the importance of the Gospel and my confidence that we are in the hands of a loving God until we escape this world and find rest with Him until eternity.

Yes I have read you enough to know you were trying to mock me with the word interesting. Apprently you don't think my conviction has been reinforced enough you thought you would add to the reinforcement, while very kind of you I assure you us unnecessary as my conviction on not voting for Trump is as solid as can be.

Really, I still think you’re trying to have it both ways and your logic fails which is what can be an interesting challenge for me to try to point out and pin you down on.
Your mocking would suggest otherwise, but if you want to think my logic has failed that is your prerogative as it is no skin off my back what you think. This election to me is not about logic but about Right and Wrong, and ironically your mocking only serves to prove me right about Trump supporters so again that is very kind of you to do so.

I see debate as a philosophical wrestling match by which to improve on your argument skills, ...

Well here is a tip, don't keep reinforcing your opponents arguments, especially after you have already destroyed the underlying assumption of your own argument.

I am not a good enough wordsmith to be any good at debate, but I do enjoy reading good arguments and poking holes in Arguments. The chance to debate me on this issue has long since passed as no one poked any holes in my post where I gave my reasons for not voting for Trump, just reinforced them over and over again until it was closed.

I too will be glad when this election is over. Over a year of campaigning is too long. The hyperbole of most important election ever has been overplayed at this point. I have heard that for every election for as long as I can remember and a glance at history shows it being said for over a hundred years.
I'm sorry that this election has stressed you. Ironically arguing politics here or on Facebook has been my way of releiving some of the crazy stress in my life this past year, but I'm ready for a new outlet.
I disagree with you on the difference between them, an R after a name is not enough to cover the hypocrisy of voting for Trump as a Christian. I'm not throwing my vote away by voting 3rd party and that thought is part of the problem that can only be fixed by getting rid of the stranglehold of the 2 party system.

Well Tuesday is not far from now and we can move on from this election for a few months until the 2020 election gears up. Seriously though the out come is in God's hands and no point in worrying since it is His judgement on the USA.

Here in WA we have early voting because we receive our ballots in the mail and can either mail them back or drive up to a receiving receptacle and drop them in. My wife and I always do the later on election day.
