That may be but that does not add up to voting more than once. If they had voted more than once on the same issues in the same area then it is multiple votes. Voting locally on local issues is not 1+1=2

It was not just paying taxes it was owning a home and paying taxes related to that. The reason for that is because you have residence there.

 

To continue posting would be futile. Obfuscations and strawmen abound. Electing officials for others? That's the opposite of what I'm saying. If I don't get a vote where I have property and spend part of my year, then others are electing the officials over me. So that argument actually backfires.

The rest is difference of opinion that people want to argue as fact. I've had my say. None of us are going to change our minds.

That's an unwarranted assumption, but, if you mean it should be a requirement that you can prove to have spent x amount of time residing at that place of residence you have an entirely different can of worms opened there. You certainly didn't initially specify that.

That though, would create a whole new set of issues.

I happen to appreciate Sapper's views and agree with him probably 95% of the time, but this, however is an issue which bothers me and I think important to iron out.

First, what Sapper or anyone else posts need not bother you. No truth gets established by posting on a forum. Therefore nothing actually ever gets ironed out.

Second, you have nitpicked his posts and positions by ignoring that fact that he has made clarifications on his position in several posts. Yet you have made childish arguments that his later clarifications were not in his original posts. So what? They do not need to be neither does that need to be the basis by which to prove someone wrong. Get over it.

Read all of his posts and consider all of his clarifications as one view. Trying to obfuscate his position by acting as if his view all depends on his first post calls your intentions into question much like you have done his.

He has spoken calmly and respectfully this entire time. It is a discussion forum where things are going to be discussed. If you can't handle that without trying to assign negative motives to people then refrain from posting yourself.
