    WASHINGTON - Elizabeth Edwards, wife of former Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards, was diagnosed with breast cancer the day her husband and Sen. John Kerry conceded the presidential race.

    I'm very sorry to hear this. From what I've read, hers is the type that can invade the whole body. I will certainly pray for her family.

    I didn't realize they had lost a son in a car accident and then had more children after that. The children are quite young. I don't know how old Mrs. Edwards is.

    She's 55 and had her children late in life. She married at 28, had 2 children and then 2 others after the death of their son in 1996.

    I wish her only the best.

    Having been in her shoes, I can truthfully say, "Pray for her and the whole Edwards family!"


    I had also wondered why they had a 23 year old and then a 6 year old and one evern younger . . . .
