Folks, this thread is for discussing the merits of schools, not debating particular points of doctrine. That is the purpose of the Theology/Bible studies forum.

Also, please remember that "church-based education" does not preclude the church from having the seminary/institution in a seperate building or on a seperate campus. The SBC believes in church-based education, yet operates its campuses seperate from the schools. A local college here prides itself on its "Church-based" model, yet has a campus miles away from the local church. So let's not get so snotty, okay?

Here is a good article that debunks Strouses geocentrism

There is a difference between a critique and debunking. It is a critique of Dr. Strouses article, however it falls woefully short of "debunking" the article.

Perhaps...you may have said: "IMO, it debunks..."

If you do not allow your students the choice of text and version they prefer, and you write articles that sound like the typical KJVO rehtoric, you are KJVO in my book.

Calling a dog a cat does not make him a cat; saying a KJVO institution is not KJVO does not change the truth.
Okay, as far as truisms go. A dog is a dog and a cat is a cat. Lions are cats but they are greatly different from your pet tabby.

Lumping all KJVO's together serves no useful purpose except propogandra. I believe it’s called guilt by association. Sometimes, it takes good sense, discernment, a sense of fairness and knowledge to realize that labels can be deceiving.
