This was on BBC Radio 4 this morning - I hope it's available across the pond.

Yes it is one more facet in the enigma stone of President Trump.

Liberals are mystified that someone like President Trump with such a "colorful" past feels so comfortable around the people of God.

I think the Liberal left has backed off down the road quite a bit though in terms of criticism lest some of their own with similar histories be brought forth.

I guess there is truly one bipartisan scripture.

    Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

He feels comfortable around these "professing Christians" because he duped them into supporting him.

Maybe but he has insured the death of pro-death. God bless him for that.

I never listen to Paula White and I have no respect for her work. I do not believe in the ordination of sodomites and women.

The GOP is a coalition. Probably, conservative Catholics supplied as many votes as Evangelicals. Hasidic Jews also vote for the GOP. Union Labor disobeyed their union bosses and voted GOP. Suburban voters voted GOP. Rural areas in the rust belt voted GOP. Trump even had a Ramadan dinner, which I find nauseating.

The Dems only carried big cities and the east and west coasts. The rest of the map was solid red.

Now black Republicans are standing up to the hatred and violence of white Democrats and praising Trump for the full employment.

Trump has not undone Johnson's racist attack on Christianity yet and he has not seriously cut spending.

The BBC's snide remarks about the Eisenhower years, the golden age of America, when Ike became a Christian and we had peace and prosperity, was nasty. Ike was not a white supremacist and Evangelicals are not white racists. The BBC must think Americans are stupid. It's the UK that is a hot mess of rigid class system and empty churches and low income and high taxes and strict government control of everything.

I’m curious as to why you would listen to anything a socialist country would put out. Just ignore them... show them your back.

The BBC might have had something pithy to say. I think that the role of the Evangelicals has been overstated. Wouldn't more Catholics have voted for Trump than Evangelicals?

    Pithy?!?

Regarding Catholics, well all my catholic family voted for the nut from Vermont Bernie Sanders. I’m not sure Catholics care these days.

Oh, I know some Latin mass Catholics. There are about eighty million Catholics in the country. About half of those eligible to vote went for Trump so Catholics are more important to the GOP than Evangelicals.

A wise friend of mine once said, "If all I had to go by was the BBC, I would hate America too." The BBC is not likely to present Trump or anyone conservative in a good light, and especially not Christians. The MSM is no friend to Trump, nor to anyone who stands for what is right.

The BBC is understood here to support the Conservatives & stress bad news about Labour - even fabricated accusations.
It is now very PC but that follows legislation, but doesn't criticize Christians except for specific cases. It broadcasts 5 conventional services each week, with 2 hymns, Bible reading, comments & prayer.
Trump is normally reported verbatim, though comments are often critical. The rightwing media is also critical, but not because of any left wing bias.

The Dems had the majority of the popular vote. We don't elect the candidate that gets the most geographic area. Otherwise Alaska would be very important.

Vote for the "violent" Democrats then.
